Holy Cross June 11-14
Zombies ran Holy Cross and made it to the town this weekend. We went up Thursday and there is still 20 zombie rigs camping up there just before the creek. There was no snow until climbing out of the creek and several off camber snow piles from there up to the city. I'll be curious to see if the others made it to cleavland rock since the snow was rather deep past the city. I'll post the few photos I got this evening and when the rest are back tomorrow I'm sure they add more.
It was my first time to Holy Cross and now one of my favorites

I thought Johnny said he wasn't going to shovel, rather he was going to make the probies do it all!

I was the only probie up on Thurdsday and did my fare share of but I bet there was lots of probies shoveling Sat. Some of those drifts had a pucker factor so they were going to cut high side tracks and maybe even remove some of the drifts all together. All in all the snow was sticky enough we just let it idle over the snow and tried not to spin.

WAHOOO
With 20 Zombies breaking ground I might even be able to make it up now. Got to get all the broke stuff fixed first though. Broke axle stuck in my spool and 4X growl I can't find yet. Got new HD axles in but in my spare open 3rd.
Thanks.
How in the heck to break a housing like that?

I thought Rockrash busted the trail the long way around to Cleveland and Tippy rock? Either way, I didn't dare even try getting past the city with the 37's and 30/44 combo. I was more than happy to make it out without breaking. Funny how when Billy doesn't spot me, I don't break....hmmm?

That was one sexxxxy "lady"!!! Luv da dress!
And you're welcome for the extra rope. DOH! I shoulda had on the blonde wig Saturday...that was just a small part of my brilliance for the day. I stopped at a red light in GJ. Looked both ways, then went right through it. Thank goodness the Sherriff that was 2 cars back didn't pull me over.

Toby was right behind Scott and Stranes. He made it to Cleavland Rock but not up it. Scott and Starnes made it up Cleavland and to the next ledge about 200 yards past Cleavland before getting to the fence they turned around since the snow was about 6 ft deep.

Nah, its you and you know it! Seriously though, we were able to get that rope off of the tree saver strap. After some camp site consumption and bringing the awesome hulk power to the table that I am known for..... I asked a friend to help me out.

Val, I heard wrong. Toby just told me that your buggies busted the last drift just before Cleveland.
I'm glad you liked Cuervo's soliciting technique! When he asked the last guy in your group " Are you going my way?" there was a prompt "NO!" hahaha

LOL! I do believe the "NO!!!" was followed by an accelerated exit of the camp area! To funny!

Everyone had a great time this weekend. The crossing of French Creek was a good challenge and the snow up around Clevland Rock was still fairly deep. No carnage on the CJ this trip although there were a couple of minor injuries on others vehicles such as a snapped front axle tube, sheared yoke strap bolts, and some missing ring gear teath.
Thanks RZO's.

Saw your Carnage. Not trying to piss you off at all. In fact, I've seen the same carnage and I know how much of a PITA it is to recover anything from something like that. Kudos to you for the good outlook.
Popcorn is in reference to the JK pic posted above and it's "off-trailness". Should be an exciting one.

makes sense,
at least there was a ready welder on the trail, and i drove it unknowingly, from french creek, to the city and back across, parked, drank beer and wondered how to straighten the tierod,
more beer, then found out it was broken,
more beer, steak, chips, booze, sleep,
next day, toby fixered it for me,
drove all the way back home,
now it is garage art, waiting on a good solution, not gunna jump too fast at any one option,
although, dynatracs have a nice ring to them...............
you see obama has my mind twisted so that i cannot see humor anymore
things have to be written out for me to understand,
damn obama,
