Mt Blanca 6/28/08

Went up to stay Saturday night. This is the 1st time I ran this trail... I think I know why now. It's like a desert at the trail head, then 40* at night up top. Not the hardest trail by far, I'd rate somewhere around a 5-6. The 10 mile? road up is slate rock and very bumpy, just like Spring Creek if you have done that. It's just 3x's as long. When it started raining, the limestone got nice and slick though. No real issues except John lost a bead and mine kept surging at low speeds because of a vaccum leak.

A few atv's where coming down on the way up. I saved a guy from rolling on Jaws 1, then one of there group members got off his atv while it was running. I guess it was in neutral since it went down the side towards the creek and right into a sapling that saved it... :-( Very funny to watch though!

On to pics

Top finally

Jenn is secured to the seat... not by just the white knuckles and a seat belt though (cliff edge on pass side)
