    Shutterbug - Source for Photo/Video Resources

    This forum is specifically for discussions related to still or motion (video) photography. All unrelated posts will be deleted.

    Yes, this means we can talk about cameras, camcorders, digital editing, etc. Enjoy!

    Some guidelines:
    • Eric didn't ask for this, but I think it would show more respect if we followed it. Please link to pictures at www.flickr.com , www.photobucket.com , etc. instead of using the attach function you might have as a member of this site. I don't want this forum to get killed because we are sucking up all of his bandwidth. Another advantage to this is that people can see exif info for the image (at least at flickr, not sure on photobucket), so they can see exposure, aperture, etc.
    • When you post a pic, post the camera make and model, lens and flash (if appropriate). People are going to ask, so we may as well get it right off the bat.
    • I'll add to this list as appropriate.

    This book was recommended to me and it's excellent! Information is listed for each photograph in the book, so you can try to recreate the image using the correct ISO, aperture and shutter speed! There are also a lot of fun exercises to test your photographic knowledge.

    There are also some good field guides put out by National Geographic.
    I have this one, and it's a great reference.

    I picked up that book you suggested this weekend. They have it on sale for only $6, hardcover, at Barnes and Noble's downtown. It's a great book too! Thanks for the suggestion!

    What I like to do is look/try them at a local store (like Wolf)
    and then buy them from either B&H Photo or Adorama, as their prices are very good.
