Had some fun and some damage there today. Lets see I broke turn signal lights and snaped a steering box bolt on the xj. The zj made it out with some minor scratches thats about it.

tried the middle and couldn't get all the way over. Two tries at the far right line by the dead tree and I went over. New tires on the front helped a lot.
Tried the middle line last wednesday night and none of us could make it over (didn't help that it was wet). Not sure what kind of rig it takes to do it, but we were both fully locked on 35s. FWIW, my WB is 84" and my buddies WB is same as a stock 4 door XJ.Originally Posted by jtw2

Huh? Isn't the WB of a YJ 93"?
IIRC, I don't think any Jeep has had an 84" WB since the CJ5.

I tried the middle line with 35's 95" WB (Stretched a little bit from the stock TJ WB) locked front (rear locker was broken at the time) and just couldn't get the rear to climb it. Managed the right line with out much issue. scratched my rear tube fender though on the rock wall beside it.

D'oh! Read and responded to that in a hurry. I thought we were talking about width. I'm stockish as far as wheel base and run about 84" wide.

OK then, has anybody ever seen a rig climb over the middle line on the waterfall unassisted? If so, what kind of rig was it?
it was a good easy trip, i had my friend from work and her husband in a stock TJ, they are addicted now
i would almost bet that trailbuilt has made it over in his XJ
Saw a waggy do it on 40s. That's the only time I've seen it done. I could probably make it over with some rock stacking but I dunno...

yeah I remeber seein the red yj on 36's and the red xj. It was a great day Im glad there wasnt a million rigs up there. Its was a bummer tho i ripped the top bolt out of the steering box. It didnt snap the bolt, the bolt ripped the threads from the steering box. So now I need a new steering box or some shit.
i've made it. it takes a helluva bump!! big tires definatly help. unshaved 14 bolts will get hung up

Was up there last week and Mack's buggy did it. Yota on 39's and D44's. Then i had some trouble with the right line, but got over after a few tries. Didn't try center though.

fronts wore off way quick. turned out to be a shot ball joint that caused it. back tires are wearing fine.
