    Talking Kingston Peak and Yankee Hill with DU Off-Road and Friends

    A banner day... I'm really happy with the turnout we had, and the people I met.

    Kingston was open ALMOST all the way through... and the sopt to get thru was just out of grasp because of unstable ground and snow. After heading out and back from Idaho springs, BigKev and I ran Yankee Hill. Did a bit of exploring, a bit of losing the trail, and some great sightseeing as we came back in to Idaho Springs via Oh My God Road, which was in great shape (no loose gravel or dust).

    Thanks for the good time everybody, I would deffinately like to go out with you guys on another run so just let me know when. I figured out what the noise my jeep was making today also. Try not to laugh as you read this... I should have checked my wheels when Peter did before heading back into town. Sure enough the left rear wheel had decided to loosen the lug nuts a little for me. I spent about an hour under the jeep pushing and pulling on stuff and tightening every nut and bold i could find but i could not find any thing loose. With the aluminum wheels i normally check them after a couple hundred miles of them being off the jeep and i didn't this time and i almost ended up paying for it. But everything is tight now, except the exhaust but that should get taken care of this week. So i am deffinately ready to go again, when ever, i promise nothing will fall off my jeep... I will work on getting some pictures up tomorrow... Thanks again for everything, it was good to meet all of you and i hope to wheel with you all again some time soon...
