Well, Im back, had a good time out there, only bad thing was the dam wind, wore us out, couldnt have a fire, couldnt even get the grill lit so that we could eat, finally gave up last night, and came home. So saturday I competed in the mud runs, due to my tires, I ended up in the super stock class running against a lot of 400 to 600 horsepower rigs, my puny little 180HP motor actually gave a decent showing with 10th out of 20,, first run sucked, I hit the pit, and it was like hitting a brick wall,, all of 34 feet, my own fault, as I had it in 4hi, thinking that higher wheel speed would be good,, not so. Second run I had it 4lo, and was in a different pit, made a respectable pass at a little over 9 seconds, the winner with 600hp, came in at a little over 6 seconds, so I feel pretty dang good about the whole deal.. All in all, a good time was had, but very glad to be home out of the wind. now I gotta find a way to host the video of my run... Janice it was our pleasure, was great having some fun people to camp with, and we WILL do it again this summer, I mentioned the same to Paul, before he left, that we should do that,, next time I will have to take ya over for the mudbath lol..

Had a great time at CORE, as always,, Carl, Thank you for providing us this fantastic play area, we hope to return there many times, as for what the OL was saying when we saw ya last, she was totally serious, and she is very good at what she does, do contact her, she will make every effort to help ya on that.... Big thumbs up to ya

did anyone see the guy in the sand rail air over 5 feet straight in the air then land probably 20 feet past the landing on ouir rock course?

It was during our intermission and these guys came over from the rally race track or wherever they were hanging out. it was definitely not where the rock races were at cause i don't think this guy would have done what he did.

Basically, the sand rail aimed directly for the 15 ft hill, and floored it. he aired straight up and then all our camp site could see was the bottom of his rig until he went out of sight.

The old man sitting shotgun hurt his back really bad and he had to leave in the ambulances there.

all in all it was good fun, sorry for the guy that got hurt. other than the WIND it was a great time!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Janice, Paul, Damian, Chad, Tim, Clyde, and everyone else who helped out this weekend making Mud Fest happen, I know it was stressful on some of us but I think we made it OK. Sorry I could not get around more, I did not even get to see most all of the rock event as I was stuck in the loader pulling all them dam trucks out of the mud only two trucks made it through the pits on Sunday that was some deep sh*t. Thanks again everyone; Carl

PS I think I need to put a bounty on the two pits, to anyone who can make it through either one, will get a season pass.

Damian and I worked hard to set this up in a short time. Thanks to all who helped out. Hopefully we made a little cash for Carl!! It was a good time for everyone. We will put on another race in the fall. This time with way more notice and hopefully some more prizes. I want to thank 4 Wheel Parts for the prizes donated and Carl for getting the awards made up. I hope everyone went home happy!!!!!

Like I said last week this was a great chance for people to be on TV and make your sponsor happy with some airtime. While check out the 30 min Colorado Getaways show the week of July 1st. Everyone got some TV time, Tim's Jeep got some good airtime at the end of the day and my buddy Luke's BEAT CJ-5 did as well (this could have been you) !!!! The TV guys were filming all morning long, and then came back again doing interviews in the PM.

Also next race we need more stock (35 inch and under rigs) Tony who took 2nd had open diffs and 33's. Everyone was able to drive there rigs home. The stock course was fun and challenging but doable. I know there were alot of peopel scared to run there rigs......take off your skirts boys and come racing............CRITTER WILL SHOW YOU HOW IT'S DONE

Once again thanks everyone for comming out and showing support. If you did not make it...........BE THERE FOR THE NEXT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clyde it was good to meet you, the scout was pretty respectable. Be glad you didnt enter on Sun, the pits were nasty. Wish I would have had more of an opportunity to test the new truck, but had a pretty damned good run for 2wd.
Janice you are awsome, we were lucky Carl got help as good as you.
