WOW! We pulled a dumpster full of trash out of the shooting area, with still more to be removed but it would not fit in the dumpster! The great thing this year was that we had about 65 volunteers to help out!!! There were Trail Ridge Runners, NCTR people, RMEC people, Mile High Jeep Club was represented, a couple of people from the DU club were there, FS personnel, lots of volunteers from this board, and there was a guy with Oregon plates that showed up to help, and Cole (xtremejeepn) drove all the way from Ohio on Saturday to be there with "Merel" the clean up truck on Sunday!![]()

Oddly enough, I didn't see a few certain individuals that said they'd show up....but we managed to get the job done regardless. Although it never helps to have a few extra hands.
The shooting area was atrocious this year. Shooters are trashy, hands down. There was a fridge, washing machine, TV's propane tanks, credit cards, paint cans with paint still in them, aresol cans, basically you name it, it was shot at. Here are some before shots.
As you can tell, it was a wreck. It looked like a dumping site. We even had one guy show up to shoot and was pissy because the areas were closed for the clean up.
However, after 3 hours of hard work, all the volunteers had the area looking much better.
Ta DA! Clean enough the kids were playing on the hill side.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS THAT HELPED OUT IN THE CLEAN UP!!!!![]()
