    Indy Report and Pics to go with Video from 3-11-06

    Ran Indy with the Broken Yokes four-wheel drive club.

    Line up was:
    Ramjett=Red Tj (Black cage)
    Blue5 (BillyBobX)=Blue CJ 5 (DUH!!!)
    BrownCJ= (You Guessed it) Brown CJ 7
    JDPJeep= Blue YJ
    Bronc= (Too Easy) Yellow Bronco
    Frank the Hammer=Red TJ "Rubicon"
    Hurricane (Bigin1)=Green CJ 7
    Jocko=Mostly White YJ
    DeadHead=Blue YJ with Yellow Tube Protection.

    We all dropped in and got to the waterfall. Some tried lines they haven't tried before. Most got through easily enough. Ramjett got some pucker factor at the bottom of Bunker Hill. DeadHead had a bad hub, but with Hurricane's spare he was up and running in no time. We headed up Patriot and got to Air-Hole with little issues. At the A-Hole, Brown CJ got kinked up and his Dana 60 u-joint decided to let go. Got him out, and with a couple tugs, good spotting and a little winching he was off the trail with no other troubles. Can't say the same for Blue5. He was doing his thing at the exit when his driver's rear got high on a rock, and over he went. The girl in the passenger seat had never been four-wheeling before. What a way to break her in.

    A few of us stayed and ran Liberty backwards. We ended the day with some big climbs UP Bunker Hill.
    All in all a great time and a great group of guys to go wheeling with.

    I am looking forward to Montrose.

    The video is in the other thread. Here are a few of the 308 pics I took.

    If you thought going down Bunker Hill was fun, you should try going up.

    He gave her hell, but ended up moving over to the right line. There he was able to drive it unassisted.

    Yes, you do have some talent with that camera. What kind of post-processing (if any) did you do. Your colors have lots of pop! I'm assuming it's a digital SLR camera right?

    These shots were all taken with a Nikon D100(DSLR), 28-105mm, 3.5f-5.6f lense.

    I lightened the shadows in PP using PS Elements.

    Thanks for the compliments.

    Wally,

    Jeeps like ours only look bad until we make the hard stuff look easy . Then they start looking really good . Hell, atleast yours is still all one color. I've got the rainbow thing going on. And no I am not gay, not that there's anything wrong with that.

    They had alot of nice equipment on their rigs. They weren't afraid to wheel them either. One nice thing for those guys is one has a body shop and one is an automotive painter. Needless to say, each spring they start out looking good. BLING, BLING.

    We tried to hook with western slope guys last year in Montrose but you guys were a no show, so I guess the question is the redneck country boy gonna want to wheel with us high dollar city slickers?
