North of Amaillo, off of hwy 287, you can run the canadian river 15 miles to the east & about 8 miles to the west. Good times. Only problem is that it can go from pretty much dry to 50 yards wide & who knows how deep in a few hours because of a good storm or New Mexico opening up the damns upriver.

Are you thinking that the pug would be the float or will we need to duct tape an old oil can on a string to the pug that is duct taped to the cinderblock?

the second one, I think core samples from the pugs mouth would be good to gauge the type of mud we're dealing with. and Clorox bottles are the best floats and make a handy one time silencer, wait we're not talking guns yet

Maybe not yet but I might point out that duct tape is a essential part of turning a clorox bottle into a silencer.

I dunno about that. Sure, it doesn't leave the sticky stuff, but as long as you have your can of carb clean with you thats not a problem. trying to get all the strings coming off at the same time can be irritating.
