Thread: Shipping tires?

    Shipping tires?

I've made a deal on some 38" tires/wheels. How do I ship them from Reno to Denver? Fastenal used to be a deal but I hear that's not the case anymore and they aren't shipping anyway because the don't want the `rona. Any other ideas?

UPS? That's who I used 10 years ago...

OTOH, just use some of that cheap AvGas and fly out there. Probably just as cheap.

Got a quote for $260, not sure I can do that with the bird. Not sure I can fit 5 38s in the 185 either.

Fastenal has a cool shipping program from store to store. I used it to ship a pallet of parts in the past.

Someone didn't read the entire original post.

Try Forward Air, though they only ship depot to depot.

Uship has been hit or miss on pricing and service over the years, but I have gotten some decent deals in the past from there.

I had the freight lined up but the seller couldn't sort out getting the tires on a pallet and hauled to the dock so he backed out. Sucks to miss out on a deal for such a simple problem. I could have hitched a ride out to Reno using my airline benefits but that would have made it less of a deal and I wanted the time for other stuff. I'll keep shopping.

Reading comprehension hasn't been my strong suit lately.
