    Two new Grand Powers

I broke down and ordered a couple firearms I have been pining after since I first found out about them last November. It took me so long to place the order because I couldn't find any locally to put into my hands. Spending that kind of money based off YouTube reviews worried me. But the rotating barrel lock really impressed and intrigued me. The handguns are manufactured by Grand Power. https://grandpower.eagleimportsinc.c...ower/firearms/

First up is the X-Caliber. https://grandpower.eagleimportsinc.c...arms/x-calibur

It is chambered in 9mm and has the rotating barrel lock assembly. It's recoil reminds me more of a 45acp instead of a 9mm. The force is directly back instead of wanting the barrel to rise. The trigger is amazing. A little long with the first pull, but the reset and every pull after is tight, crisp, and full of goodness, and is awesome for straight outta the box. My first shot with it hit dead center where I was aiming. And if it didn't, the fully adjustable rear sight would take care of that. The rest of the shots didn't stray from the bullseye even as I switched rapidly between targets. It is VERY predictable and likes to stay on target naturally. So much so that I had to pay attention to me wanting to push the nose down when I didn't need to. Instead of having to manipulate the gun into position, you need to hold it steady in position. Takes a second to get used to. But it can be fired very quickly while retaining repeatability straight out of the box. Then there is the looks. The heavily milled slide not only reduces a lot of weight, but makes it very appealing to the eye. Especially with the fluted bull barrel. It also feels wonderful in your hand. The 4 different sized back straps help custom fit it to your hand. I totally understand all of the glowing reviews. I have a feeling it may become one of my favorites to shoot a lot.

It is priced VERY well for what you get straight out of the box. Only place I found that actually had some in stock was Bud's guns. https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/index.php

    The second is their K22 X-trim. https://grandpower.eagleimportsinc.c...2-xtrim-series

It is chambered in 22lr and has the threaded barrel. It is a decent shooter and is fairly light. It offers the same milled slide assembly but the barrel is fixed. The trigger is the same as above. It feels just like the X-caliber and also comes with extra back straps to custom fit it to your hand. And it also features a fully adjustable rear sight and a fiber optic front. Need to find some time to take it out with a can a see what I think. But I assume I will like it.

I ended up letting one of the guys who works behind the counter of my club send a few dozen rounds down range too. He kept asking me questions about it and I told him to take it for a spin and find out for himself. He seemed to enjoy it as well. And will make the same offer to anyone on here that is serious about wanting to try one out. I struggled to even find anyone to ask questions to about this platform. Would be more than happy to let you draw your own conclusions without having to drop the full purchase price first.
