    New car time

Need ideas for a new DD. AWD, seats at least 4, speedy, manual, and reliable. Focus RS is high on the list, if they get the head gasket issue figured out. No Subarus...too fugly.

Unfortunately youíre asking for a rare ask these days.
    The RS was my vote.

Never been a fan of Nissan, but I should give them a look. Neither Lexus or Acura has anything I'd spend my money on.

Looks like the manual is going to be a deal breaker. Might have to hold out for the head gasket fix.

I've been happy with my 3.7 Q50. Granted I've only put 23k on it so nothing should have gone wrong, but it is a pretty fun car to drive. Surprisingly roomy too, although I don't think anyone has ever sat in the back seat of mine. Of the 23k miles I've put on it, 5k came from 2 road trips to MN where we would do 1,000 miles in one day.

    Rs4 is a possibility. I won't touch a used Audi.

Only thing coming to mind not mentioned in some fashion already would be a BMW xdrive or a Mini Countryman. Don't know if I would own either, but are the only other alternatives to what I have already seen discussed.

Edit: There is also the Alfa Giulia...

I've had a countryman in the past. Good car. Although, being a BMW product, I wouldn't own one either. Lease only.

Ah, Alfa. Achingly beautiful, yet flawed. You can lease a 120k 911 cheaper than a 70k Quadrafoglio. STEEP depreciation on that one.

Fusion Sport, AWD and 345 HP 2.7 Ecoboost and performance tuned suspension. My wife has a 17 Fusion AWD Ecoboost 2.0 and its a great car. Plus Fusion reliability is hard to beat. I have 2 2006 Fusion and Milan that run like swiss watches.

Although the Focus RS is a beast for sure. Same engine as I have in my Mustang Performance Pack and I love the 2.3 Ecobeast. The autos are actually faster than the manuals with the Performance Pack option. Paddle shifting takes time to get used to, but pretty cool.

While not AWD the Fiesta ST and Focus ST's are manual and just a riot to drive. My son's 16 Fiesta ST is the most grins per dollar spent I know of.

I love my Audi s4. Faster than the older rs4 I worked on this week and better driving feel. Bought my '13 S4 certified pre owned so warrantied until 100k or 5 additional years past the 2018 factory warranty. Best driver's car out there for the money. Driven the focus st and while decently fun it lacks traction and refinement. My s4 has been flawless for the last 3 years and 30k miles I've had it. Beast in the snow too.

A buddy of mine who bought a Fiesta ST did that one a few months back and said it was a blast
