    New to me buggy!

I bought The Man With the Plan's buggy last night and can't wait to get it out.

Have you ever seen a man eat so much fish?

Congrats Michael! Good to see you so excited!

Bummer to see you sell the rig Jon. Any plans for a new rig?

I don't think I can properly cope with the idea that this buggy now belongs to someone else....... I hope you are okay with now being called Jon, Brule, etc. etc.

Wouldn't you have to be on the trails to worry about that?

    That's a great looking buggy.
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have none at all.

Of all the people to give me grief about not having a wheeling rig, I'd think you'd be the last.

No plans yet, but the LS6 swap in the Defender 110 is coming along. That'll get me on the trails, and through the winters.

Just little things here and there to make it better and look cool. I have also added a keyed switch to the starter, USB outlets, and a center storage console. John and Rock Ware did an excellent job building it so there really is nothing to change. Even with the rock lights, it already had some, I just changed them out to newer brighter units. I will re-use some of the old ones for interior lights eventually.

The two main firewall panels would get really hot, ~150*, after running for a while. I tired some thin stick on insulating material with no luck. Got some leftover Lizard Skin from Nimbus to try. I think it will do the job.

Used it on mine and made quite the difference. My firewall would just about melt my left foot now I can barely feel the heat.

Looking great! Was the Mini front clip the plan all along? I didn't see the semblance until you put the strips on.

Rock lights are bright! What did you use?

It is a fiberglass mini cooper hood fabricated by Twisted Customs.

The rock lights are these, I have a total of 12.

Ran Indy and Patriot Saturday and the panels were cool to the touch every time I checked them. Of course it was only 50* out and I didn't have the motor running very long but I think it did make a big difference.

Also broke a rear axle shaft and the locker is likely done too.

Ouch! The axle broke way out at the flange and that also took out the locker?

Rebuild the locker of going to go with a full-locker now?

It's common to break the locker when the shaft breaks. That was a Detroit and is a full locker for the 14 bolt and it cannot be rebuilt unless you buy parts from others who have broken them. Going to go with a Grizzly or a spool.
