The hydraulic rams on my new plow work similarly. Toggle left to push snow to the right and visa versa. Takes some thought

Sometimes when I feel like my life or job is out of control; I remember that we are careening though space at close to 67,000mph, while spinning at close to 1,000mph on a fiery ball of rock... and we don't even notice it.

I'm not fortunate enough to live where I can notice the fireyness of the rock, but it's hard not to notice the two motions. You missed the 514,000mph motion of the whole solar system around the galaxy, but that one's easy to miss since everything close to us is pretty much moving along with us.

    (spoken)
Whenever life gets you down, Mrs. Brown,
And things seem hard or tough,
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft,
    (sung)
And you feel that you've had quite eno-o-o-o-o-ough,

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at 900 miles an hour.
It's orbiting at 19 miles a second, so it's reckoned,
The sun that is the source of all our power.
Now the sun, and you and me, and all the stars that we can see,
Are moving at a million miles a day,
In the outer spiral arm, at 40,000 miles an hour,
Of a galaxy we call the Milky Way.

We spend our entire lives trying to control every aspect of them. But ultimately all we ever have control over is the ability to let go of said control.

  38. #198

Thoughts from a Sixteen year Old on his 64th Wedding Anniversary…

A woman marries a man not because he would be the perfect mate. But because he could become the perfect subject!

On our wedding night I hung my pants on the bed post and said “See That“… She immediately ripped off a leg and handed it to me saying “I Wash… YOU DRY!… Well I was exaggerating a bit but you get the point!

65 next and still alive ... I hope.. Don S..
