    Ford Weatherproof connect/pigtail help

On my truck (2017 PSD) there is a connector on the frame:

This is used to power running board lights. I want to utilize this connector, but only if I can find its weatherproof mate, to power some LED's to light up my running boards.

The local dealer gave me the part number to the light assembly but I can't find any pictures or info online. It is HC3Z14A666G. I can't say if I'd be opposed to the look of the factory setup or not since there is no info out there.

I am opposed to cutting off or splicing to the factory wiring at this point.

Any of you know how to track down such a pigtail?

    Thanks!

I looked on my end and couldn't find a pic.. but for the price I would cut it off and get a Weather Pack connector

Find a wrecked PSD with board lights at the yard, go snip off connector, splice your aftermarket lights into the snipped connector.

I'm trying to figure out what trim levels may have them. My Platinum doesn't. I have yet to see one with factory lights...But I am holding out hope that I can find something.

Be careful, wiring the new vehicles with Canbus electrical can be tricky for some things.

New development...My assumption that Ford changed the connector were wrong. What is pictured was just a dummy cap. So now I am on the hunt for the real connector and I know that they are found at a minimum on 2016 trucks and I would be willing to be, as far back as 2011!

here's the connector, so please chime in if you know where to find it's mate!

I assume this is for one. So $20 vs combing a junkyard is money well spent...
