How about a little Throwback Thursday

Can't believe it has been a year since my latest television appearance. Which means it's been about two years since we filmed it. And yes, I am the one piloting the Impala SS in the photo on two wheels through fiery explosions! Man I miss wrecking other people's perfectly good cars for no reason. Good times!

    What's your throwback to share?

Dale Earnhardt Sr. died fifteen years ago today. I only know that from a feed I saw this morning on my phone.

Wow. A popular 4x4 site and all that can get managed to get post on a TBT thread were three photos. Only one of which actually involved a 4x... That's kinda sad.

Here let me kick things off again...

If we are going back, we might as well go way back. Here are a couple pics of pics from MHJC All For Fun Week, 84-85ish. 35s were huge and Holy Cross was the toughest trail in CO.

I hate loading pictures to this site. It takes me forever to figure out how to add to my gallery every time I try.

CC, 84-85 on Holy Cross, did the big mudhole/bog still exist then? I'm thinking it did.

I have to claim oldtimerz disease. Just a few of our group went a ways to run it one day it as it wasn't on the scheduled runs and i can't even remember for sure which year it was that we did but it was there. My 1st all for fun was 83.

Got distracted and went up the right side embankment, hit a protruding tree root breaking the output shaft of the steering gear and bouncing me up onto 2 wheels. Wobbled along on 2 wheels for a couple hundred feet but, with no steering, could not pull out of it.

Yes, I understand the workaround. My point is uploading to this site, which is part of why I have a blue star, is far from simple. I have a photohosting site. For threads like this I don't care to upload a photo to it and keep it there in perpetuity.

...and I don't have much in the way of pictures to contribute. I eschew crowds, so I'm rarely standing aside to take any, and there's nobody to take any of us.

Ok since this is Donner, then that is probably Rob M. (if I remember ) instead of Miller in the Monster shirt.

yes. yes I do. Thanks to that memory, I can now stand up and take my desk chair with me, since it's firmly clenched.

I didn't know there was a picture of that. Thanks.

There are actually three options for hosting images on this site. One is the Gallery addon that Photopost aggressively took from its creator and subsequently killed, another is the built-in vBulletin Gallery that you'll find in your user profile (This wasn't always there, I forget what version this appeared) and the third option is to attach the image directly to your post.

I haven't deleted any photos from the addon Gallery or the built-in gallery, so nothing should have "disappeared". I regret that it happened, as the intent is to host your image for the life of this website. I mentioned that addon is no longer supported and recently I thought I found a good alternative that imported all of the existing photos, but it had a glitch in the preview images block above the forums so I couldn't use it. It has since been updated so I'll give it another try. Converting this site to https is at the top of my list and then I can revisit the gallery options.
