“Dinner” at Stacy’s brother’s house celebrating his wife’s 40th. Those two are fine to be around, but their absolutely racist and dumb friends sucks, glad we didn’t stay long.
Long day of kid sports... Football team won, but Trey had a rough game and was pretty upset with himself after giving up a couple of big passes. Shouldn't matter much as they still shouldn't make the playoffs.... at least that's what we're hoping as we're ready for the season to end. It's a bummer since he loves the sport.
Had to leave immediately after the game (where he couldn't even gather with his team for the coach-talk) so we could jump on E470 at Colfax from Aurora Sports Complex and get to Chatfield high school close to C470 and Ken Caryl for back-to-back basketball games.... stoopid widening construction made for some slow single lane traffic, but made it in time.
Trey played really well and their 6th grade team remained undefeated despite having to borrow 2 kids from the 5th grade team to play with 6 kids..... Thumped the first team by 30 points; beat the 2nd previously undefeated team by 12, but I think they were also missing kids..... We play them again next week for the season finale before playoffs.
Then the coach asked him and his buddy to hang around to sub in for the 5th grade team immediately after since they only had 5 kids. I wasn't too pleased as I was ready to get home.
Long Saturday
I was drowsy on the couch with the boys before they went to bed, but I'm having a hard time finding a wind-down now.

After driving around this morning I'm ok with how the truck sounds for now, especially since it doesn't drone on the highway. I think having a side exit makes it a lot quieter in the cab than it is outside.

Bass were slamming spinnerbaits. Unfortunately, they shredded the skirts on the only two spinnerbaits i had with me pretty quick and didnt seem interested in much else although i did have a couple good hits on buzz bait. Gonna head back out there tomorrow after work with many spinnerbaits on band.
Damn Jake, I gotta tell ya, that tequila is killer good sipping tequila. Wouldn't dare put an ice cube in it and dilute it.
