Used to dislike brats...then discovered it's because of Johnsonville. Have tried other Johnsonville sausages and further learned Johnsonville anything is dog shit. Baffled why that brand's shit is so popular.

I do love me some tacos. Prolly just won't be eating them from that particular spot anymore.

The wife and one kid really like Torchy's... myself and the other kid not as crazy about it.... They do have really good pico, guac, and salsa for the chips though.

I like Tequilas... We go to the one in Evergreen about once a month or so. Good food, and outstanding margaritas.

    too far.

Me do likey good food and good margi's .... Jodi made 2 types of margi's for our Mexican theme family get together on Sunday... Mango frozen margi's and jalapeno margi's on the rocks.

The mango was a proven recipe and good, but the experimental jalapeno ones were better as they watered down a bit.... the particular pepper used was just a bit too hot... Some jalapenos are really hot and some are not.... this one was a scorcher.

Good kid choices; bad kid choices.... Trey made a bad one at school that got him an hour of detention which he will serve next Tuesday since he was asked to pick a day around his sports practice schedule.

The consequences away from school are a much larger impact..... Some no-brainer stuff at home (phone, Madden, etc.), but there may be an opportunity for some community service through our church ("Compassion week") Saturday morning at 7:30 which would allow about 3.5 hours before going to football warmups and then rushing to 2 back-2-back basketball games.

He's upset with himself and is taking the assumed consequences in stride, but he doesn't know that we're checking into the community service thing. If it were not for his other commitments, it would be a great opportunity for him to give 8 hours.

Big couple of days for the 1st grader... Lost his first tooth yesterday and wanted the string to the doorknob trick, but it needed a little more work than that. Figured after 3 days of trying that, it was time to get to business.

Just got the call that he's also getting glasses for school work, homework, and reading. I'm bummed, he's excited.

Here you are and there you go.

    Torchyís is over hyped IMHO.

Glasses ainít a curse like they used to was.

Lewns, opponent in softball is the company that puts on GABF so they were a no-sho tonight. They had the manners to call me at 4:30ish to tell me, but they didnít tell the league. My team decided to show up and have a practice since we always talk about that. Twas fun.

The curse is him keeping up with them.... probably losing them ..... most likely breaking them, etc.

I'm fine with my kid wearing glasses. I just don't look forward to buying them several times. He looks pretty cool with the ones he selected and he's excited about them. Maneuvering the vision insurance stuff now.

I feel for ya... but community service is always a good thing. And if he is already kicking himself then it means you're doing a lot right.

Fawk fawk fawk. Got home and my god damned mother fawkiní crock pot was off, massive pot of green chili was at 84* and I donít want to have a CC Taco experience so itís going in the trash
If I didnít like being able to toss the pot on the stove top for high heat needs I would ditch this one and go back to the old analog one.

Agreed on Torchy's.... but I can't lie and give props to that pico, guac, and salsa....

Glad your softball team turned lemons into lemonade with the no-show situation.... Good on your team.

That sucks big-time.... .... and I can tell that you are really angry with your crock pot.

But maybe it's God's way of steering you clear of the hog jowl thing.....

..... Just don't want to see you have a "cc-tacos-locos" experience thingy.

I'm sure it was all good, but the hog jowls thing scared me a bit.

Well today is the day. 70# of chicken in the smoker. My buddy is coming to finish it for me so I can herd these cats to my retirement ceremony. They have been briefed on show times and expectations. Let's see how this goes.
