Not sure what you're looking for in a gun but the XDs is a fine .45 for CCW. Won't break the bank either.

I like 1911s as well. I just like more mag capacity in a carry gun.

Double stack is hard for me to conceal. The Springfield is doable but my go to carry is a Sig P938.

I like 1911s but it's kind of an awkward carry gun unless you open carry

Barrel: 5 in (127 mm) Government, 4.25 in (108 mm) Commander, and the 3.5 in (89 mm) Officer's ACP. Some modern "carry" guns have significantly shorter barrels and frames, while others use standard frames and extended slides with 6 in (152 mm) barrels

Only issue I've found w/ carrying a 1911 is weight. They are very slim. Even w/ a long barrel, they conceal easily. And why I ended up w/ an aluminum frame model.

That's what my sister carries and i don't mean anything derogatory by saying that. I just prefer a 9mm for carry which is why my main carry is the Glock 43 which is 9mm and single stack and with Taran Tactical +2 mag extensions which aren't any longer than the factory mag with the pinky extension, it is 8+1.

Oh yeah, i just figured out where you were possibly coming from with that sigh. I would raise hell until i could get that squished, smashed, squashed or whatever the legal term is for it.

ya know cc,... i dont think that things happen to people without Gods involvement. the "thing" was so wierd and so strange and so miraculous and made no sense whatsoever. as a result, i do see it as a place that God has me. there are juat some times, that i wish things were different.

The only necessary improvement to the Glock 43 is the mag extensions IMO but i have also added a few goodies just for the heck of it.

Factory sights are more than adequate but i swapped them out for Truglo TFX Pro sights that are lit with well guarded fiber optics during the day and tridium at night. They are very visible in daylight and are just as bright as the Trigicon tridium sights i have on my 19 at night.

I also slapped in a Ghost Edge trigger connector for 21 bucks. It doesn't make the trigger pull much less but makes a smoother pull with a little shorter reset.

And of course the most performance enhancing addition is the replacement infidel rear slide cover.
