6 weeks since we lost Mom .... Dad likes to show me that his ribs aren't poking out as much as he's putting a little weight back on. So far, he seems to be doing pretty well in his new condo, aka the eastern part of my house.
I just hung up his 3rd hummingbird feeder yesterday where they can all be seen from his living area and ours. He had me move one of them so Jodi can see it from her usual hang-out spot.
I call the 2 hummingbirds we get on a regular basis "Harry" and "Larry" .... Harry gets there first and might choose any of the 3 feeders where the wasps are not challenging him. Larry is a bully and enjoys chasing off Harry as much as he likes the sugar-water.

Glad to hear your Dad is doing well.
Courage is knowing it might hurt, and doing it anyway.

Checkbook was balanced. Laundry was done. Bedding was washed and reinstalled. Vacuuming was started. Church was had. Vacuuming is fixing to resume. Not sure what after that but it will involve not being inside the house.

When we lived in Larkspur, we had some large feeders hanging in the large vaulted covered deck area by our living room ... there was a 16' sliding door that just remained open (with screens) a lot during warm weather months. Jodi was going through 132 ounces of sugar water per day. She filled them in the morning before work and again when she got home in the afternoon. They would be bone-dry twice a day.
In the evening, there would be swarms of approx. 60 hummingbirds hovering around 4 feeders. It was an insane display and the sound was crazy. Often, hanging up a feeder upon refill would yield a hummingbird landing on your finger to get first crack at the sugar-water.
It was on the side of our walkout basement with 10' ceilings, so I think the higher elevation amongst the pine trees really attracted them. It's what Jodi misses the most about that house so she's enjoyed watching Harry and Larry.

Toozdee.
79 to a partly cloudy or something 105 but this is supposedly the last day in triple digits for the foreseeable future and we also have chances of rain starting tomorrow and almost every day after for the foreseeable future which will rain all around but most likely not on me.
At least someone finally must have bumped the record player and unstuck the weather monkey.

We only made it to 94 today. I did not mind the cool down. Now if it will only start raining around 3am and continue to rain till after noon tomorrow like the weather monkeys give us a decent chance of, that would be even better.

74 to a chilly 88. It did not start raining when the weather monkeys said it was supposed to so they went ahead and did away with our rain chances for the day. Shocked face.

It is at least sprinkling now that the weather monkeys took precipitation out of the forecast.

It's actually raining. Thank you weather monkeys for canceling our rain chances for today.

But I’m putting that in my back pocket for later.

So my neighbor who just bought the diesel zeroturn with cab and air conditioning from us wasted no time modding it. There are chrome hubcaps on both sides of the front caster wheels and at first, I thought the rears just had hubcaps as well but they are actually Corvette ZO6 wheels and tires. Dana is nuts...
