Gotta basketball tournament game 2nite in Lakewood for Court ... only 1 spectator allowed in this particular church ... at least 2 games tomorrow in a rec center so Jodi and I will both be trying to force ourselves in. Jodi taking Trey to and from HS practice tonight... Stupid mask requirements, even for players

The wife has some rhinestone ones that are mesh and see through, but the rhinestones throw off that part. Maybe if the boys are willing to have a different look? lol

One big line of thunderboomers after another but they are all coming from the southwest so the lake keeps scaring them in half before they get here so we aren't getting a whole lot of rain out of them so far.

My attorney buddy has some very nice mesh/see-thru breathable ones that we should go get... I'm sure the school would find a way to make an issue...

During basketball games, Court doesn't get yelled at too much from the refs when his is usually pulled down below his chin... There is not much of an enforceable rule there as it's stated (when they need to catch their breath) .... Court usually just keeps his below his chin most of the game.

    Stoopid mask rules

Courage is knowing it might hurt, and doing it anyway.
    Stupidity is the same.

3 games done, won the tournament, they got a championship t-shirt.

Court is pretty tired ... I think he has tournaments the next 4 weekends.

Home projects today trying to get a lot of stuff done before i am down to one wing. One trip to wallymart and fixing to head to lowes for the 3rd time. I can never get everything i need or all the right stuff in one trip.

The only bright side to that is that the hawt womenz in itty bitty shorts rating for the day at both places is a solid 9.

Happy sundee. Sunshine and 84 is on tap for the day so i will definitely be taking the kayak out at some point after church. I also have to finish spring cleaning of the house of which im mostly done other than washing windows.

Im also hoping to mow but i doubt that will happen because the yard is still too mushy but its supposed to be mid 80s again tomorrow so maybe i can get that done tomorrow after work. If not, im gonna be in trouble because we have decent chances of thunderboomers toozdee through thurzdee so i dont know when i will be able to mow.

Move an hour away from Lowe’s. You’ll get better at getting it all in 1 trip.

I am trying to figure out what he has going on there but haven't. If he really has the factory air cleaner in its factory location feeding air to the turbo, i dont know how he is doing it.

Went out to the Denver Gun Show with my dad this morning .... 1st one they've had in quite a while. More folks without masks than with, both vendors and attendees...

I picked up a 40-round mag for the AK and a cool compact (brass-knuckle style) stun-gun for Jodi and made a couple of good connections that will be fruitful soon.

I helped Dad make a trade deal on his Sig .40 for a nice compact S&W 9mm with 10 and 13 round mags....

Home from fishing. I caught a few but nothing big and now am fairly sure it was my last kayak fishing escapade till i get the shoulder rebuilt and rehabbed. It just hurts too bad to cast not to mention loading and unloading the kayak.

In 1843, Captain Levi Preston was 91 years old. A young scholar, Mellen Chamberlain, was researching the American War for Independence, and he had the occasion to interview the veteran of Lexington and Concord.

“Captain Preston,” he asked, “what made you go to the Concord fight?

Captain Preston, bristling at the notion that he was made to fight, replied, “What did I go for?”

The young historian continued, “Were you oppressed by the Stamp Act?”

Captain Preston replied, “I never saw any stamps and I always understood that none were sold.”

“Well, what about the tea tax?” the historian asked.

Captain Preston: “Tea tax? I never drank a drop of the stuff. The boys threw it all overboard.”

Chamberlain: “I suppose you had been reading Harrington, Sidney, and Locke about the eternal principle of liberty?”

Captain Preston: “I never heard of these men. The only books we had were the Bible, the Catechism, Watts’ Psalms, and hymns and the almanacs.”

Chamberlain: “Well, then, what was the matter?”

Captain Preston: “Young man, what we meant in going for those Redcoats was this: we always had been free, and we meant to be free always. They didn’t mean we should.”

The interview with Levi Preston can be found in David Hackett Fischer’s Liberty and Freedom: A Visual History of America’s Founding Ideas.

    It really was that simple.
