This last time I couldn't get at it and called off the hound before he hurt himself. Am panning on trying again in the morning, and then if that doesn't work, I will be picking up a trap later in the day.

How and why would that be better than a suppressed 22?

A lot less energy and therefor less potential collateral damage to walls, equipment, etc. Unless you are shooting something like Aguila Super Colibri. Also depending on local laws a pellet rifle may be legal where a firearm may not.

Thank you for the reply! How much less energy? Would that cause the projectile to bounce around more? My biggest fear was damage to vehicles or equipment or the building itself. A client told me to go buy a pellet gun but then thought the pellets would still hurt sheetmetal.

Lol, not dead, I tossed it outside. I walked back into the shop after feeding my hound lunch, and saw it sitting under the mill. So I cornered it and just lunged for it and managed to get a hold of one of it's legs. So I quickly carried toward the door and "gently" hurled it out as it was very unhappy with me and was kicking and making sounds. I was all proud of myself until a buddy reminded me that it had been stuck in my shop for a number of days, had given birth, and hadn't had food or water during that time. So it should have been easy to catch. Oh well, I am still pretty proud of myself.

    Woo-hoo!

We have a bunch of bunnies terrorizing the neighborhood, the local food chain is in oversupply. I'm hoping my little dog doesn't get mistaken for a rabbit when the predators reappear.

    Congrats on your anniversary!

Less than half the energy as the pellets are usually around 20 grains, compared to about 40 grain 22lr, and are usually sub-sonic speeds. It could still cause some damage but you could also reduce the pressure and thus the velocity to minimize collateral damage even more. The pellets are lead and thin so they don't ricochet much. Of course if you don't miss the shot there is no worry.

    This.... just don't miss lol

test it on a piece of sheetmetal, then you know what a direct shot would be, pellets lose tons of velocity after the first hit, so odds are fairly low.

Just customize the cars you currently own ... no need to try to over-achieve.
