At hospital for hopefully final surgery. Removing IVC filter. Should be back to normal and home by this afternoon if all goes well.

Had the last snowboarding day at Mary Jane on Saturday... while the snow reports tell you how many inches are falling, they dont tell you that it is the wettest snow you will ever try to ride on. I could barely break 30mph on a crazy fast hill that I normally ride in the 40-50mph range on. We saw the charade for the draft stuff, which probably was the only reason why the parking lot was so full.

Kitchen remodel is in full swing... the wife still thinks that we are on the 3 month schedule for getting the project done. I am shooting for having flooring and cabinets done before memorial day lol. I just dont have the heart to tell her that it will be done 2 months sooner than she thought.

My smooshy is here to nurse me after this morning's surgery. All went well, was fully awake (the sedation did not kick in even with two doses) happy to be home and get some sleep now. The only bad part is the filter was a little stuck on the tissue in my abdomen, so it caused intense cramping on the pull out. You can see the incision in my neck that they put a long wire grabber through a vein pushed down into my abdomen to pull out the IVC filter.

    Maybe you were too cheap???
Courage is knowing it might hurt, and doing it anyway.
    Stupidity is the same.
And that’s why life is hard.

Lawn is mowered and weedereatered. Trying to decide if i wanna go try for another striper this eve. I want to but haven't had time to respool and i don't really want to donate another pricey lure if this expensive crap is just gonna break again.

You have good doctors that you trust so let's just agree that this was the last time under the knife.

No luck with fishies this evening. Not even enough breeze to make a ripple on the lake and without some wind and waves to push the shad to shallow water, there is no reason for the stripers to chase said shad to shallow water.

Either way, mundee evening fishing is better than no mundee evening fishing.

We did on the northern side of town. Got a couple inches of white stuff on all the trees and lawns. Roadways stayed just wet. And the temp is less than half of what it was yesterday at the same time.

We had a few flakes fly, but nothing at all stuck. It's definitely chilly today.
