From the only state in the USA where O'dumbass failed to carry a single county. :hail:
Courage is knowing it might hurt, and doing it anyway.
Stupidity is the same.
And that’s why life is hard.
Even if the crazy Colombine-obsessed chick from Florida doesn't fire a singe round from her newly purchased shotgun, she's probably accomplished her goal and wreaked enough havoc by shutting down the schools across the Denver metro area.
Curious to see what happens if they don't catch her today.
Weather monkeys are all jumping up and down with possibilities of severe weather including massive hail and toe naders. It hasn't hailed once in the 5 1/2 years i have lived here so we might be due if the big lake can't scare it off.
Very cool color 4Runner
Glad Vernon is ok too. Timing can be funny as I just called him on Monday since he's been MIA here lately ... when he didn't answer, I sent him a follow up text as he had reached out to me regarding his dad's house back in February. Asked how he was and he just sent a quick reply that he's busy and no time for social.
His work is always top-notch, so glad he's keeping busy![]()
What's with Oklahomas liberal fascination with toll roadsY'all got those stupid things everywhere.
After throwing Google at it, it looks like there is one long one and 3 or 4 short ones. Also appear to be run by misc injun tribes.
That's feather, not dot.
Atlas shows most every highway in and out of Tulsa is a toll road and 44 down through OKC.
From Tulsa there's one: West, NE, East, SE, South and South West.
From OKC it's 44 coming in from NE and going out to SW.
And s spot down at Chicksaw Nat'l Rec area.

I despise tollways.
There is a certain satisfaction I get when doing manual machining. Besides, who doesn't love sluts, er slots.

I have not been eaten by a toe nader nor has all mah stuff had the crap beat out of it by the terrible storms that were supposed to start at mid-afternoon. As a matter of fact, there hasn't been a thunderstorm anywhere on local radar all day.
Maybe they are just running late. I'm sure that the weather monkeys weren't just sensationalizing again.
Took advantage of the no-school day and took Court to go get a haircut .... got a new(er) barbershop right by the house .... Trey went a few days ago and really liked the girl that cut his hair and he gets about another year for kids' cut pricing since they don't bump his rate until high school ...
When we were there, one of the barbers was talking to me and found out about Court and said to bring him down there to give him a shot.... Super-cool millennial-ish dude with long hair, tats, and a beard .... he doesn't get caught up in someone's looks; he's just been used to the same girl (tough to get appointment now) cutting his hair for about 3-4 years, so was a tad reluctant to even go down there. He loved that dude and the haircut. --- Definitely his new haircuttin' dood.
I love it when a plan works..... He had to be sure it was looking tight before basketball practice....
Trey's basketball practice cancelled since schools are closed for today's obvious reason .... Court's team practices at a 24-hour fitness
I have mentioned several times how our big lake, Lake Texoma eats thunderstorms so here is some pics of what I mean. Pretty much every storm we get comes from the SW heading NW which means that it has to cross Lake Texoma to get to Durant just on the other side of it.
Im gonna post 3 screen shots of my radar app on my phone from this evening. At 9:20, the leading edge of the storm was just getting to the lake. At 9:30, the storm was going over the lake. At 9:50, the storm was getting to Durant and was basically cut in half.
Its actually fairly amazing in that it happens every single time. Water evaporation cooling air temps above it? I dunno....

Weren't you planning to have a picnic in the vicinity of where the most hail might fall? Don't forget mustard for the sammiches, a knife to cuf off the crust, some sort of salty snack like pretzels, and the ball-peen hammer to crack open the walnuts in the picnic basket...![]()
It wasn't dry skin, but something else.... I now have a pretty long scar on my neck ... the 4th try seemed to have gotten it, but we'll see what this year holds....
skin cancer can choose to be mild, and can choose to be nasty. Mine chose the latter. John's was nastier. Yes on sunscreen.
