I'm pretty depressed this morning as well.... I offered $36K above asking on a house Sunday night and just found out I still didn't get it. Cash, quick closing, no appraisal, etc......

and just got notice another one I'm offering on today that has been on the market for a bit just received another offer this morning..... I've never had a struggle like this to buy a property..... Losing confidence and hope.
seriously the market here is nuts.

fingers crossed that you find a better one!

I know the missing out on properties well. Been searching for over 3 years. At first I was admittedly way too picky. But for the last year and a half, every property we have had any interest in has gone under contract or accepted another offer with someone else. And I am now left bidding on million dollar properties that were under $700K 2 years ago. F'ing sucks. Have a feeling I am going to be stuck in my current place forever.

The battery life on my 2014 MacBook Air has already gotten pretty bad.... not a good time to spend any $$ on it so I'll live with it.

The dog is depressed. I’m not. Although if I could go to South America, live in cool/coldish weather, and run dogs year round, it would be adios amigos.

Gotcha.... and yes, the dog looked depressed.

I also think of geographical moves, but I don't think it will happen anytime soon.....

-5 degrees. A little nippy so I just logged the fireplace. Kept wood in the fireplace all day yesterday and suspect we might keep it going today too.

Shut off the furnace yesterday morning to let the fireplace warm the house back up and forgot to turn it back on last night before bed. DOH.

Evidently the wind changed direction last night during one of the heavy rains so i spent a while before coming to work sucking water out of the living room carpet...again. I've done everything i can to seal the glass French doors. Water gets past every time wind drives a hard rain at them. Only thing i know to do at this point is build a porch roof over the patio.

Nothing like heading to the door to let the puppers out for a morning pee and stepping in cold wet carpet barefoot.
