Loons. Found a place that does beer, wine and spirit tastings. That was almost dangerous.

On a much more serious note. My dad has to have another stint put in Monday. He has had several before. Quad by-pass and a valve replacement. Seeing your parents get old and frail brings the suck.

Glad you made it to KC John. I know the feeling all to well. My folks got old while I wasn't looking.

Shoveled 6"+ from the driveway, got to work on just wet streets and no snews on the grass.

Cherry Creek closed because of their schools out east, they got the same amount that I received behind the rock.

Lewns, how does the human body continue to produce tears after hours and hours of crying. The memorial was beautiful, but damn if I couldn't sing a full verse today.

Its all good. I would tear up for the simplest of things for a few months after dad passed. The last time was only last Sunday when i got his boat sold and saw it drive off.

It really does. My dad has also had several stints.... I just couldn't believe how slowly and gingerly he has walk now. That's a fairly new thing...

I miss (and remember with great adoration) the days as me as a kid, teen, and adult working by his side building/re-installing engines, transmissions, and just working on old cars in general.

It actually brought tears to my eyes and makes we wonder how many more hugs I have in store....I cherish every one I can get.

I just got off the phone with him around 12:15am and couldn't care less that I wanted to go to bed an hour ago. He stays up late and I relish the opportunity to stay up hours past my preferred bedtime many nights to carry on the same conversations over-and-over.

I'm pretty blessed to have this opportunity and I will miss it someday.

I'm sure you'll all hear me belly-ache about things in life that are less-that-great.... I don't expect them to be in bold like the sentence above.

Off to little kid baskeball.... most likely Jodi's last season as a coach. Court will be in 1st grade in the fall and most likely playing competitive league on some 2nd grade team.

Time to see what group of kids the YMCA dealt her this season. It's always fun.

Sorry Ty... I had KS in my bracket as well. They just got beat down tonight. Looking forward to seeing Mason in the NBA and interested if Josh Jackson declares as a freshman.

Jackson was more fun to watch than Lonzo Ball and they will arguably be the most sought after freshmen in the draft (if Jackson declares)....

I won't miss Jackson's off-court issues or his streakiness. KU didn't show up to play. Graham never got in a rhythm, the fawks came out with mucho energy, and (as much as I hate to say it) the refs missed a bunch of traveling calls and a bunch of fouls that the fawks committed.
Oh well, it was a hell of a ride.

Dunno about Jackson's off-court issues, but I believe his "streakiness" on the court has the interest of most NBA teams looking at freshmen. If he declares, he will be a top-level 1st rounder.

I agree that Graham never found a rhythm, but Jordan Bell (OR) announced himself tonight. His stock is pretty high if he's thinking about entering the draft.
