Stupid me picked up a piece I was working on that was too heavy for the damaged hand to properly hold while staying bandaged. And now that I stopped whimpering like a little girl, and have cleaned up the wound again, I am patiently waiting for it to stop bleeding again. Good times.

Long day for me already today. Was at a job site by 5am and just got back to the shop. Still have a few hours of phone calls and emails to return and a couple hours of welding left to do. But think I am going to take a short break and go get some food. Anyone have any ideas for lunch? My brain is fried and am not coming up with any good ideas.

Anyone work or live in Boulder? Looking for a guessitmate as to how much snow is still left around. Have to squeeze in a job up there that is outdoors and requires me running welding leads over 100'. Not fun in the wet. Was hoping to squeeze it in this weekend, but given the amount of snow we still have here in Broomfield, I am guess there is still quite a bunch in Boulder. I tried the property management office but they haven't returned my calls yet.

Nearest one is about 20 minutes from me. Probably too far for today, but I will keep them in mind. Thanks!

Gonna break down and order a tuner for the eff-wonfiddy i guess. I started to with the last truck with the 5.0 after i did a Roush air intake and exhaust but other than drivability things like shift points etc, i dont think you get that much with a tune on a NA engine.

The gains on a turbo engine are real so im gonna go for it finally i guess. Although i enjoy a quick truck, my main goal is not having it constantly up and down shifting up and down the hills for 9 hours each way on trips dragging the enclosed trailer.

Im going with the N-Gauge and 5-star custom tunes. The 91 octane performance/tow tune will give it 400 hp a d 403 ft lbs of torque at 2800ish RPM which should be fairly bitching for towing.

    We will see...

I think it's a good idea.... I wanted to put a programmer on my Ecoboost when I had it but never got around to it. Many recommended an exhaust which I wasn't crazy about as I think the aftermarket exhausts sound like crap behind the V6.

Yeah, not gonna do exhaust on this one. As it is, it sounds like a V8 when you get on it and has decent tone. Im way past liking loud exhaust especially on long trips dragging the trailer.

    lulz...

Last night, I dreamed I was 20 years younger and an NFL quarterback.... you dreamed that your V6 sounds like a V8...

The one thing those 2 dreams have in common is that it's a far stretch from reality

Do you not use tow/haul mode when towing the trailer? It works very well on eco boost with the trailer.

I have with my 2010 5.4 and the 2013 5.0 and it didnt work great. While both trucks had more than enough power to pull the hills, the reaction time was way too slow on both and it wouldn't do anything till it was 4 or 5 MPH off the set speed then it would downshift one gear which by then was still too high then it would dump all the way down to 2nd or 3rd resulting in full throttle all the way up the hill trying to catch back up. I could drive without the cruise control and almost never have it drop below 4th or 5th gear. I know that the cruise control cant see the hills coming up like i can but it should react a lot quicker to MPH drop IMO.

I have not even hooked the trailer up behind the Egoboost yet although i fully expect it to do better since it builds its power and torque around 2500 rpm as opposed to the 5.0 that built power at 6000.

Tow/Haul mode on my 3.5 eco boost works exceptionally well on hills every time I have pulled my trailer. Weights ranging from 2k to 8k.
