Court's fewtsball team got things together this morning ... Despite a fumble turnover on the 1 yard line and a long TD called back for an illegal formation, they still won 34-0 against a previously undefeated team.

it got pretty hot pretty fast, so glad the game was at 9:00 since it's currently 93

I guess he has 2 basketball games tonight and the team has had 0 practices .... I'm not even sure which kids are on this team....

Basketball games were fun ... Court had not had a basketball in his hands since he returned from Wichita, but you couldn't tell ... They won both games and he played awesome .... after the early morning football game and 2 basketball games getting him home at 9:30, the kid was pretty tuckered out....

Went to to wheeler yesterday. So pretty up there. Even managed to spread Lexus's ashes upper there with Shaun's.

Both boys were withdrawn from their schools today and will finish the year online... The mask mandate wasn't working for either of them. Trey also just needs more structure versus the long holes in his open-campus schedule... Gonna be a long school year at Jodi's office.

Yeah, but possibly the best thing for Trey as he is going through some things that are difficult to deal with; some for him, definitely for us ... The social interaction with his friends and the ability to play basketball for his high school will be missed.

Court's situation will likely be tough as a 5th grader given the number of friends he has at school .... However, he's excited/relieved right now..... At least football for several more weeks and 2 basketball teams beyond that will be a good social outlet for him.

No one has said it's a permanent thing, but definitely the rest of this school year.... I expect it will be permanent for the high-schooler and the younger one goes to middle school next year unless mask mandates keep repeating.

I bet they learn more at home.

Homeschool numbers are growing, and for a good reason.

It will be a while before we can figure that out (if we do figure it out at all), but I do feel like productivity over time has a good chance to increase ... I don't even think Jodi's productivity will decrease as she did it last year .... just less time for facebook n stuff, so total productivity yield would still be in the positive direction.

At least you will know what they are learning and they won't be getting brainwashed by liberal "teachers" who want to re-write history.

When they have been raised that skin color doesn't matter, it's tough to erase the guilt and shame a kid can receive now for his pale skin color and establish that he is not wrong for it.... there's an agenda being taught that says otherwise.

Court's not stupid though ... He laughs that his one teacher that has been pushing CRT has no idea he is on an all-black basketball team and they all spend the night at each other's house all the time and are constantly face-timing while playing video games (when Court is not supposed to be playing video games. )

.... I can't yell at him too much about one thing when the other one makes me smile.

Those kids are tight ... none of them care that (in that minority) Court's skin looks different, his hair is different, and some very unsavory stuff happened in previous generations....

Those are his closest band of brothers and not a single one of them cares that Court is white .... You couldn't make it up or write it any better... Pretty much the way it's supposed to work.

Our highs are supposed to be 90 - 93 for the foreseeable future. Its bittersweet because fishing should start picking up but so does the speed of stoopid wintertime.
