Welcome to Saturday #1.
A combination of weather and aversion to OT has led us to this happy day.
49 up to the mid 60s.
No sadurdee here. 68 to a partly something 87.
53 with skywater .... might not see the sun today and approach 63
The continuing drizzle is interfering with my planned attempt at ball joint replacement on my F-350.
No saturdays here for the foreseeable future
Wandering in the wilderness.
I made the mistake of looking at a new Avalanche colored Tremor after work today at the local furd place. Its on my mind.
The negotiations begin. It wont take long im thinking because interest rates are too high right now so i will most likely walk. I have 3.2% on my current used truck loan. Sounds like about the best you can get right now is 5 or higher. Not paying that.
Sundee and i slept in for the first time in probably 10 years.
62 to a sun shiney 92. Not sure what activity im going to engage in after church.
So on the whole new truck buy thing, probably not gonna happen. The first "deal" they came up with was a joke as far as value of my trade. Ive been watching auto trader quite a bit lately and my truck will sell all day long for $45,000. They allowed me $33,000. I laughed, got up and walked out. The salesman dude followed me all the way out to my truck trying to talk to me but i just got in and left.
He called later and i went ahead and answered. He wanted to know what needed to change to make it work. I first asked him what % interest they had the payments at and he told me that they didnt run my credit and just did it at 8.2%. I laughed again and told him that there was no way in hell that i was going to pay more than 5% on a new car loan.
Then i pointed out that my truck would sell all day long for $45,000 and acknowledged that i knew that they had to be able to make some money on my truck as well but there was no way in hell that i was going to leave $12,000 on the table. He said that he would be able to get me a better number mundee when the bigger boss was there. I dont think they will get where i want to be on the trade but maybe. Last time i traded there, i got them to increase my trade value around 9,000 before it was all said and done.
Anyway, i told him to work on the trade and i would look for my own financing through either my bank or my credit union and see what i could come up with.
Meanwhile, while being lazy in bed this morning and looking at auto trader, i found that the furd place in Tulsa has the exact same truck. Same color that i love and same options except maybe doesn't have the paneramic sunroof which i dont care about and almost would rather not have but its got 10,000 miles on it. Its also $10,000 cheaper.
The only thing im kinda bummed about is it seems all of the Tremors have the small, 26 gallon gas tank and i really love the 36 gallon tank i have had in both of my last trucks. I dunno if its a space issue with the different suspension and or addition of skid plates or what but it kinda sucks that you apparently cant get one with the big tank.
I kinda have a hankerin' to stretch the legs on the .308 ar10ish thing so kinda thinking about running out to the ranch where i can shoot farther than 100 yards. I texted my boss aka doosh nozzle to see if he wanted to dial in his 300 win mag sniper rifle thing but he hasnt replied yet.
I guess we are gonna go run the fbi certification course again instead.
Monday is here.
55 up to 80ish
No new trucks arriving today....

Also, on the course of fire yesterday, i improved on the longer shots but sucked worse as the easy stuff resulting in only a 2 point improvement over last week. I only got 9 out of 12 on what should be the easiest thing to do but i once again rushed my shots. I redid it after we were done with the whole thing and forced myself not to rush and got 12 out of 12. The only other thing i really need to work on is my mag swapping. The whole fire 4, swap mags and fire 4 more in 8 seconds has kicked my arse both times.
Toozdee is here. 68 to a partly something 94.
Several days in a row with good chances of rain and or thunderboomers starting tomorrow. We will see if the weather monkeys have better luck with that this week than they had last week.
Tuesday.
But not much else has changed. 53 to 83, or so.
74 to an on and off sun shiney 94 degree day with a slight chance of rain. It wasn't supposed to rain yesterday but it did. Not sure how much we ended up with because its still too dark to see the rain gauge.
Friday.
51 to mid 70s.
i.e., about normal for the end of September.
Not quite fridee...
69 to 91 with a chance of afternoon thunderboomers as well as overnight thunderboomers. Hopefully one of these thunderboomers will actually rain a significant amaount on us.
I figured I'd chime in for some ground-breaking news since it's just been the 2 of you the last 6 days ....
I'm showing sunshine and 80 on this Friday eve.
I did have my self an evening thunderboomer. It gave me just over an inch of rain in about an hour and a half so thats good i reckon.
Saturday #1
47 currently warming to near 80 degrees.
Much to do....
Fridee obviously.
70 and possibly thunderboomery till noonish followed by sun shiney and 90.
I will have 180 hours at the end of the year for vacation. I can only carry 240 hours over at the end of the year so I think next year there be some wasting time off.
Well, it's over. I did it again.
Bought another Audi ... this time a low-miles '13 S6 ... It compliments the '13 S7 very well. It's gonna be a garage full of Audi's. I think Jodi will drive the 6 and I'll drive the 7. Both are tuned and fast as shit.
Time to begin the process of selling the RaceTruck and find a much cheaper "work-truck" ....
