Turned into 80 and sun shiney. Loading up the kayak.
Yesterday was a crappy day; today made up for it.
Court decided he wanted to get baptized.... decided this all on his own. We drove up to our church in Lafayette (we usually stream from home) as they were having baptisms today. "Packed" on Easter Sunday was an understatement, so we had to watch with several hundred others out in the on one of the big screens in the huge Lobby area. At the end, we made our way where countless people (many impromptu) kept getting dunked in one of the several pools of nice warm water that were set up. I had the honor of baptizing my son today. I got to recite the question to him of his acceptance of his savior as well as the declaration of baptism right as I dunked him and raised him back from the water as Jodi held his other hand on the opposite side of the little pool. A staff member took video with Jodi's phone and still pics with mine. IT WAS AWESOME !!!
Best. Day. Ever.
To cap off the day, I took about a 45 mile ride on the Hooligan Ducati, then a long scooter ride with Court (Jodi not feeling that great) ... then he wanted me to take him for a quick ride on the Hooligan (for his first time on that bike) and he freakin' LOVED IT. He kept woohooin' at stop lights. Watching some NBA playoffs now.
Best. Day. Ever.
Cold again this mernin at 46 but sun shiney. Heading to 75 and more most likely falsely predicted thunderboomers tonight.
Got to 80 ... Nice short scooter ride with Trey and Court ... Nicer, longer scooter ride with Court afterwards.
62 heading to 87 and partly cloudy and or sun shiney.
my phone says 71 today ... Took a night ride last night on the Hooligan from 8:30 - 9:30 .... Weather was pretty close to perfect.
kinda windy so far this morning
Jodi ordered lunch from the new Denver Biscuit Company location that opened up just down the road from our house. They all got the Nashville Chicken biscuit sammich; I got the pork belly, bbq sauce, slaw, and their house-made pickles ... It's kinda pricey, but I have to admit, it's pretty darn good. Those big biscuits make for a full size sammich; about the size of a big burger.
Evening loons tiny truck is a month old still running on the second tank of go juice.
Not getting dark till 8:30 gets the thumbs up button.
72 heading to a partly sunny 84.
Trying to sleep is exhausting.
Sold the Yamaha dual sport bike last night.
Congrats on the sale!
Kinda like the white ones: https://pueblo.craigslist.org/mcy/d/...472621220.html
Great question. I put in each ad, "Cash in my hand for test ride. If you don't drop it or buy it, I hand the cash back to you." I will answer texts for questions, but always require a voice2voice call for an appointment where I re-iterate my requirements.
The guy on the Yamaha didn't bring cash when he looked at it and I ripped it up my street and back one time for him to watch. He also didn't ride it when he picked it up, but he gave me some suspect questions after we loaded it in his truck that made me think he doesn't know how to ride yet. If so, he bought a lot of bike for a beginner.
The guy on the EVO contacted Fay Meyers for financing ... They bought it from me and then sold it to him with a processing fee. Since he didn't have the cash for me to hold, he never asked to see the bike and went with my pretty detailed photos on the ad. Fay had just done the yearly inspection on it last week during the oil change which was documented. Fay called me today and said he was approved and we hashed out the details.
I sold my Triumph a few months ago where the guy didn't test ride it and just took my word on it's performance.
It's a little weird that I've sold 3-4 bikes with no test ride. I always bring the cash and at least show the seller before I ask to test ride. That said, I'm probably putting a deposit on a bike in Illinois where I don't get to test ride.... I know enough about these bikes and also have to trust the detailed photos and conversations with the (dealership) sales dude...
Speak of the devil ... Not white, but almost new with no miles on it....
