Puddydog finally went outside. He went straight into the doghouse and wouldnt come out. I finally had to go drag him out and back to the house but maybe his curiosity is finally taken care of.

Rex, If you have to tear it open put these on those pipes. There's a sensor on it to only turn it on when it drops below freezing on the pipe itself. I have these on the waterers for my horses and they work great.

WHy do you all live where its so cold?

I spend the weekend in Frasier and don't think we ever saw negative temps. Currently 29* and sunny in Basalt

Thanks man... those look pretty cool ... the other hot water line is free now, no bursts as I can find... It's a good indication if it thaws by itself with temps still below freezing.... it's getting heat from the house, just not able to manage -10 or so and it doesn't freeze hard enough to split the copper ...

I'm the reason for the shower P-trap when I relocated the shower ... I knew it could be an issue, so I have a tap from the heat run that "farts" heat on it when the furnace runs .... just not enough when it gets that far below 0 ... It's an easy enough fix for me 2 times in 15 years and my wife and son know what to do now if I get run over by an RTD bus

Agreed ... not sure there's much of a market at that price, even on Ebay ... I think it's about 30% too high...

... Does look like a cream-puff time capsule though...

Me too, the obsession started with the 1969 D100 Camper Special my dad bought brand new. The thing was a workhorse and I had a lot of childhood/highschool memories from that.

So I'm pretty proud of Trey and his work ethic... He goes to practice 5 nights / week (for about 6 weeks now) and he has worked his tail off to make starting point guard for the Arapahoe High School Freshman Basketball Team where there was a huge turnout for tryouts and had many friends he played with in the feeder program who did not make the team...

... He not only starts, but plays a ton of minutes and is barely subbed out... He's been mentioned in the school's "press release" the past 2 weeks and acknowledged for his leadership and "running the team."

Last night at practice, he was given the option to step up and be on the Sophomore team and possibly play in some JV games. He'll probably keep running point on the freshman team as he feels they need him more... Both coaches want him and are leaving the decision up to him, but wanted to acknowledge him and give him the choice.

Fawkin' cool stuff for being a freshman in a pretty big high school.... He's just 5'9" and a half and hopefully still growing.

    Proud Papa moment.
