Best guestimate is around 4" of snewz ... Had to clear the satellite dish once last night, but fortunately, the south-facing driveway is clear and most of the patio area in back are as well. It's clinging to the leaves that that remain in a couple of the trees.

I get to venture into traffic here in a bit for a follow up with knee surgeon

Court has a fewtsball scrimmage on Saturday since they have a bye for the 1st round of playoffs.

It is supposed to hit 70 on Saturday, and the high is 32 on Sunday with a 3-4 day invasion from the enemy.

Although I've had to miss PT for a week (done quite a bit at home), surgeon was very happy and complimentary of the work that's obviously been put in over the past 6 weeks.... He said I caught the curve which was good to hear.

I get back to PT with Dennis today

Good freakin' day today.... Butt kicker today at PT, but at the end the knee measured at 142 degrees with me hugging the crap out of it on a heel-slide....

Been gaining 7-8 degrees per week ..... My good knee measures 155 with no effort... Dennis said we'd have to keep pushing it, but if we can gain 10 more degrees, things will keep opening up everywhere else.

Gaining quad strength, but slowly.... It's still pretty sad looking though.

Put the bike seat all the way down, cranked up some resistance for the first time, and did 10 mins at 50 RPM.

Pretty sure tomorrow is 14 weeks post-op. Really want to achieve some normalcy to walking again... uphill / downhill / upstairs / downstairs ... hell, just walking without so much resistance on the front of my knee forcing this slow paced limp.

There's always a view of "don't know what you have 'till it's gone" ... but the more important view is "things could be so much worse."

I'm gonna work the crap out of this thing at home over the next 3-4 days.

About to head in from the shop and get started on making dinner. Not as cold as I thought it would be today, but going with Hungarian Goulash. Nice warm, hearty meal sounds good about now, err, in 2 hours when it will be done. What's on everyone else's menus tonight?

Hmmm, sounds like I will be scheduling in some more time to spend in Boulder at the frat compound. Another gate needs hinges. If only they'd let me replace the other 4 gates's hinges that haven't been replaced yet at the same time, I would never have to go back there. At this point it's just a waiting game to schedule in the others once they finally fall apart too. Ugh, trying to find parking up there with school in the full swing of things is gonna suck.

Jake - wanna get lunch in Boulder sometime next week?

Still raining. Goes from a fairly light sprinkle to downpour off and on like turning on and off a light switch and thunderboomers come and go. I would prefer full time thunderboomers if its gonna rain.

That is true, and a great way to look at things. Any time spent in the hills away from the rest of civilization is usually time well spent.

Working from the shop has been a nice change of pace this morning. Even made time for lunch, and man it hit the spot! Leftover chicken fajitas made into nachos sure was tasty. Though now that my belly is full, I sure am having a difficult time getting out of the office and back into the shop.

Still stuck in the 50s and rain. Picked up another 4.5 inches as of when i got home after work. Its been mostly just sprinkling to light rain since then but there is still more coming. On the bright side it should all be moved out by noon tomorrow and the temps are supposed to be back in the 70s. Sunday looks like a kayak fishing day with nothing but blue sky and 80ish.

Wow! That sounds like absolute bliss. Quality time with quality people in the beautiful Colorado backcountry, does it get much better?
