Never been a coffee drinker, but I had some over the weekend that was brewed in a Chemex pour-over setup. It was pretty good. Might have to start drinking coffee.
    I'm sorry, I wasn't listening.

Break in on gear sets is just the gear manufacturers way of having a way out of having to warranty gears that are set up wrong etc. The break in they require is based on heat evolutions which is understandable but do you think new cars coming from the factory go through that?

    The correct answer is no

I installed hundreds of gear sets while working at Hillside and the only failure i ever had was on orange crushes rig where ring gear bolts backed out. I still dont get that but it did happen.
From the only state in the USA where O'dumbass failed to carry a single county. :hail:

    So dont bother with it?

I am curious if the gears were installed correctly because the few tines ive driven the jeep around the block the Detroit has refused to unlock, which ive heard is a backlash issue but i wouldnt know

To add to what CC stated, the metal of the gears will "wear" in some. This process will create a bunch of heat. This heat can cause failures if not at least considered. Break in processes vary and everyone has their own thoughts on what works best. I personally like to drive the new gears around a bit until hot and then let them cool down. And repeat that process for a while (usually a few trips to work and back or the like or a few days) then change the fluids, inspect, and usually call it good it everything looks good.

As far as the Detroit not unlocking, that too will wear in, but it "should" unlock. How do you know it is not unlocking? Sound like you are raping a seal with every corner? Are you taking the corners quickly? Applying power while in the corner?

Are you positive it had to do with the process and not the actual coffee?

My wife like to use a french press for her coffee as it makes about what she needs. I have had some of the best coffee I have tasted and some of the worst, both out of the same press. Just different beans.

Anyone have any experience with French doors with a built in doggie door? This is looking like the best option for the new place. But when searching, I am finding a great variety in price. Any brands I should look for? Any to stay away from?
