But 62 % 74% I am having a hard time stomaching. I sent both bids to the builder, explained how utterly disappointing this price gouging was, and they are going to get back to me about the situation... No idea what that means. Will have to wait and see. I have flooring being bid right now so I can compare that as well.
Granite alone can be a slippery slope. It depends on color, thickness, seams, and all sorts of stuff. I wouldn't just go off of someone on google either. If we are talking they are that high over Granite Depot or one of the bigger players, that might be a bit different. Apples to Apples is going to be tough though. Flooring is way easier.

Supercharger would be used every time said vehicle gets used. Besides the floor mats, the rest wouldn't be used all that often. I say go with the supercharger and watch the smile meter go up more often. Then worry about all that other stuff.

It's actually Quartz. And THE EXACT SAME product, same # of slabs, same edge finish, exact same layout. But the builder *builds in* a granite cost to the home cost (so it's not an upgrade) and then quartz etc are an upgrade. I want a granite credit because I don't even want them to install the granite that is included.

I can't stop thinking about the brave young men who were heroes at their STEM school last week. I have searched for ways to help the families but only find state benefit funds. Does anyone know of a way to contribute in some way?

A college fund for the survivors (Bailey and Jones)?
A specific charity for the Castillo family?

I know for sure that there is an account setup for the student that died.

Go to any branch of Wells Fargo and ask to donate to the Kendrick Castillo Memorial Fund.

Not sure on the other students.
