Did some of that too ...
It happened again. I left in the truck this morning and there was a bike in the back when I came home.
...Accidentally found a Ducati hooligan bike that listed in CO Spgs Friday night. I now have 2 Ducati machines that are very different and both very freakin' fun.
Got home and got it unloaded and the family (minus Trey at work) went for a nice long scooter ride through the neighborhood(s) .... Then, I took the Evo for a ride followed by the Hooligan. Got each to crest triple digits and haven't done that on a bike since college.
Gotta sell some bikes now...

Pulled the distributor to check the pump by hand and with drill.
Oil pump turns smooth and easy by hand, and with a drill you can feel it build pressure and provide increasing resistance to the drill.
I’m hoping that the pump just lost it’s prime from sitting for so long

Might be helpful for Rex and Allen....Courage is knowing it might hurt, and doing it anyway.
Stupidity is the same.
And that’s why life is hard.

that read was definitely longer than my attention span, but I got the gist ... I scrolled but didn't see how long the shifts were.
I've never been one for naps either ... if I get to sleep then I'm tired when I wake up. Fortunately, I've been able to get some sleep the past couple of nights, just with a late start.
The melatonin drinks and gummies are almost always integral now, but sometimes I miss the window and then it doesn't return. Shutting my brain off is a large part of the equation as well.
Jodi says she rarely dreams in sleep or if she does, she doesn't remember them. Every night is Cinema Night where my brain plays movies that I star in. Often, it's a continuation of that day or relative to the next day. I hate it, but it's much better than not sleeping.

No, still not on book o' faces but have a browser that stays open with the wife's login so I can cruise the marketplace ... which I need to close since it's led to buying 3 bikes and possibly a couple of scooters from New Mexico later this week ....

jinxed myself talking about the sleep thing...
this time, I just ate something that didn't agree with me.
It didn't make me sick, but enabled me to be the sole propulsion of a hot air ballon; or the tear-gas device in a hostage crisis.
All the people walking around with their Covid face diapers would've learned quickly that those masks are no match for my molecular fart-fortitude.

That was an interesting read Bill and that's a neat website for someone like me who's curious about most everything.
I found it interesting that he posits that:
"the Industrial Revolution hadn't just changed our technology, but our biology, too."
But regarding an experiment:
"..their sleeping patterns had been transformed – they no longer slept in one stretch, but in two halves roughly the same length. These were punctuated by a one-to-three-hour period in which they were awake."
Would that not simply be changing our habits and not actually our biology? I think that experiment actually showed our biology didn't change since we (can) naturally go right back to it if the artificial environment we've created for ourselves is removed.
It's going to be a cold cloudy day and I believe it's about to be taken by a lot of looking around that site for interesting articles.

Truck runs.
Timing set to 8° BTDC @ 800rpm.
Still fiddling with mixtures, and she still feels like she’s lacking a little bit of power.. and still showing no oil pressure, waiting on a mechanical gauge to verify.
But she runs and drives.

Tomorrow gonna set the idle mixture, then drive it down to a muffler shop and get exhaust on it… since right now it’s just wide open straight pipes (about 3’ from the headers) and so ungodly loud that it makes it hard to work on.
