Had to turn around and get a mower... Figured if he was at the dunes, I might not have access to his hoity-toity zero-turn. I'm gonna scalp the sh!t out of it so it has a nice burn when he gets back.
He gets a lot of thunderboomers there in OK, so I might dig some big-ass retaining ponds in the yard while I'm there.
Cloudy and raining on this somber Memorial Day. Seems sort of fitting.

It's good that we have an organized Day of Remembrance.

Courage is knowing it might hurt, and doing it anyway.
Stupidity is the same.
And that’s why life is hard.
At our camp every morning, the play list starts with 3 or 4 patriotic songs the goes into the national anthem. We have to large flagpoles. When it it got to the anthem this morning, camp went completely silent other than the anthem playing and everyone was staring at one of the flags. I was almost wimperish.

Jeepers, that's a whole lot of reading back. I gotta stop by more often.
I just got my early Dad's day present mounted. I figured this crew would probably appreciate why I'm excited about it. Showed it to a neighbor that never does his own work, and he just said "why?". At least he brought a beer over with him.
Columbian vice for the workbench. Anyone else like antique stores for tool shopping?

Nice Columbian!
After the fire, I went to CL and found a couple replacement Columbians for the one I lost. The ones I found aren't as old as that in your pic but even these later little 3 and 4 inch models just can't be broken no matter the sledge hammer blows they take from me.
This sadurdee is at least supposed to have a respectable number of degrees but it is starting out completely foggy.
Saw a guy, wife and young kid standing on a corner begging for money. Young healthy looking guy and wife who could stand around but can't get a job in this 'businesses begging for workers' environment?! Lazy fookers are just lazy fookers.
...And what the fook is up with the Planters peanut shortage??!! Shelves at all the stores I've been to are bare of just plain ole peanuts...that's some booshit right there!
Ughh.... Tomorrow is sundee which means its time to drive 9 hours back home. How do multi sadurdeez go by so quick?

Not sure yet, my lungs seem ok and I can smell farts and taste cookies. The biggest thing is I am tired all the time, even sleeping 12+ hours a day. I am experiencing atrophy from being bed ridden for the better part of 3 weeks. Great diet plan, I lost almost 30 pounds.
Stop and go traffic forever through OK City followed by 3 road construction areas on I-35 followed by road construction on hwy 70 followed by bridge repair across lake texoma made for an extra long trip home. Ahm tarred and mundee is mere hours away.
Here's a big freakin' surprise ... I'm flipping between Denver Nuggets game and The Blues Brothers that happens to be on again....
I chose to skip out on Trey's last Spring/Summer games of the season tonight for my mental health as well as his. Sounds like he's been playing pretty well though.
Somewhat ... maybe more of a Treycation ... He's had a rough couple of weeks and he doesn't need any anxiety with me in the stands. I'm very positive and I don't say a word during games because that's how playing for your high school kinda works. If I'm not there, he won't even think about looking my way if something doesn't go right for him. I figured out a while back that sometimes, it's just a healthy thing for him to have a break from Dad.
Its been a long mundee. I did manage to mow the back yard and the side yard at 3 1/2 inches but the front yard still has water sitting down in the grass. Tomorrow is supposed to be 88 again so i decided to wait till tomorrow eve to destroy it and hope it wont get too destroyed. Pretty good chances of rain again starting sadurdee going through next week so ill have to knock it out one way or another. This monsoon season just wont end.
