    School me

Got a text about a free snowmobile. Went and scored this this morning.

1996 vmax 4k miles. Runs great.

    Comments? Things to look for?

    500cc or 600? Track length?

Steering is a chore on those.

Back in the day I had some friends who rode those... they are freeking heavy, but they did seem to rip for 600's. I always thought that they would really benefit from a track with bigger paddles, even better if it could be stretched at the same time. I know the old Phazers were nearly unstoppable with a 136" X 1 3/4 track, but they weighed a good bit less. I would imagine you can pick those up for pretty cheap these days from snow west.

Ride the piss outa it, soon enough you will be drooling over a Pro RMK, or Summit.

I wouldn't count on that. I managed to bury my sled with a 163" track w/2.5" paddles last weekend.

You can bury anything if you try hard enough!
