Sounds like a decent laundry list of things to do. Sorry to hear about the 300M problem , that is rather untimely. This will be my second rig with a Atlas in it. My first truggy had a 4.1 (or was it 4.3?) it was a long time ago, and my new one has a 3.8. The numbers don't seem that far apart but there is a difference on the trail for sure.
Oh and I use Imgur for hosting, tried google but half the people could not see my pic's .Red 1st gen 4Runner

Jared, what wheelbase did you end up at on your build?
You happy where it’s at?'01 "Cherokee" - Kind of.... (Jeep: Steering Column, Firewall, Partial "frame", Brake Booster, and a Little Sheet Metal)

I'm at 110" and pretty happy with it don't really see me changing it anytime soon. most everyone I wheel with is 105-114 and the 105 is a little short and really need water to help on big sh*t... the 114 is a little long but front digs help lot.

I’m was right at 110. I think the font axle will sit in a really nice spot in the new engine if I push it out to more like 112. Im trying to decide if that’s too much length for 38s. I’m hoping this will be the last time I rebuild the front end.

got a chance to work on the buggy a little last night... and good thing I am going through things... found that I had no bolts holding the trans to my cross member and I cracked the cross member as well... oops lol
anyways the T case is coming out tonight or tomorrow then I am going to cut about 3ft of the TJ frame out on each side and replace it with 2x4 3/16 and I should be about to suck it in like 3" on each side.
anyways ill get some pics once I start cutting

Well decided too take more of the frame out and go past the front link mounts I would have took the last 2 ft out but that a lot more work with motor mounts and shock hoops and so on... so it’s staying... for now lol so why I did this is because the frame straight in this area vs where I 1st cut it was still kicked out some
I did get the new frame rail fitted up and built a new rear upper link mount but for got to take a photo of that!

Driver side is getting closer, I have to redo the rear upper link mount but I have a game plan for that! I cut the old mount off and tack it where I think it will end up at

If you're looking for new I was quoted a decent price from skinny pedal racing on pirate. I'm looking for used myself, budget wise, but will likely end up going new from skinny pedal racing if I can't find a good used one soonish.
The buggy is looking great! Should be some good upgrades you'll appreciate.

Still working on this thing had the front suspension done with a 3 link but a buddy was over and we dropped it to full bump and we are pretty sure I can get a 4 link in there.... so I’m now working on that.
Sold my front coil overs to hope to get some 2.5s coil overs up front down the road, ended up finding a deal on some air shocks so for now I am going to move the rear 14” shocks up front and up the air shocks in the back until funds for 2.5s later down the road.
The rear suspension is tack up waiting for my atlas to get here to check clearances for the rear drive shaft, trans cross member is tack up again waiting on the atlas to check clearances, all the flooring mounts are welded in... I think I’m getting closer but the list is still long
