Battlement Fab TJ cage
Got a TJ cage kit from Battlement Fab when they were first offered and I finally finished the install.
First I painted the parts that would be inaccessible after they were installed.
Old cage out
Mounted the plates, they fit perfect.
Then started cutting the dash for the A pillars
Used a strap to hold the B pillar against the A pillars and check the fit of the door surrounds, also had the upper windshield bar in place. Tacked everything in place one it was good.
Moved on to the halo, C pillars, and side bars.
Then moved onto the rear roof bars.
Then the lower windshield bar.
Then the front roof bars.
Once it was all tacked I could start finishing all the welds.
I wanted to re-use the factory seat-belts for now so I need a few more bungs. Found these offered by Poison Spyder Customs.
Really easy to put in and should be super strong since they are flared at the end.
Last was the windshield brackets
Sprayed with primer
and then painted with Hammered and re-installed everything.
All the pieces fit together great. All the joints had very little gap. One of the windshield brackets was way off but all I had to do was cut the tube off and re-weld it in the correct place.
My factory soft-top fits over it no problem. The rear halo does touch the rear window but it does not hinder it in anyway.
I hope I never really need it but I am sure it is way stronger then my factory cage with bolt on aftermarket front portion.Have you ever seen a man eat so much fish?

Evolution of your Jeep
New cage is looking good. I thought you might like to see some historical pictures of your jeep.
Here’s one when it was less than a year old.
The wall on Poughkeepsie with 31” tires in 2001.
On 33’s in 2002.
Coming out of one of the hot tubs in MOAB, 2003.
The Chile Challenge in Las Cruces in 2004.
Montrose in 2005 on 35’s.
The day I sold it to you on 36’s.
I’m sure you can add a lot more to this list.

Previous owner did the stretch, it is custom but used parts from the Teraflex lift on it.
