Jeep 3.7L... Supercharger or Turbo???

My question is... Is there any supercharger or turbo kits for that motor. Or has anyone made either work on the 3.7L Jeep motor? Thanks for any input.

Kenne Bell discontinued the Supercharger they sold, pistons were to weak for a mild supercharger, You'd have to upgrade the pistions before you slap a supercharger on it

Avenger superchargers is here in the springs they for sure make them for the 4 oh and I beleive that they have one for the 3.7 also. It is all bolt on to.

ask them about he pistons, see if its a concern before you bolt one up, It wouldn't be to much work to swap pistons

jack from avenger does have a supercharger available for the 3.7l however you have to cut a hole in the hood due to the height of the unit. his jeep may still be at nemesis.

Hemi conversion, drop the 3.7 into the same pond you threw the Dana 35....

Since the supercharger kit is $4495, I think a V8 swap could be done for around the same price.

You'd have to add another $1500-$2000 or so to install forged pistons.The OEM 3.7 pistons will not take boost(even as low as 2-3psi) very well before breaking the top ring groove which is to close to the top of the piston to help with emissions.

Agreed...I am not going to waste any money an the junk 3.7!!

$4500 for a RIPP and a few HP, or $4000 for AEV kit and $3500 for hemi and tranny for a total difference of $3000 you get a great engine with plenty of power and a great exhaust note

Plus all the tune time and headaches that come along with putting a SC on a motor not built for it.

Hemi or stick with the 3.8L.

3.8L is a different engine My friend...

I like the 3.7 in my mothers Lib, it seems good enough.
