This is what happens when you're a total noob, and you turn the wrong dial on the camera.
I think it clicked over to ISO 1600 with a manual shutter speed that was too slow, like 1/25.
I screwed up. I'm guessing this can't be fixed?

A lot easier to "fix" underexposure than overexposure ...
If you shot it in RAW, you might be able to do a bit better by adjusting in the converter.

Yeah, thats pretty much overexposed way past the point of being able to make anything out of it. Looking at your EXIF data, you were in fact at 1/25th, F8 at ISO 1600...WAYYYYY to high of an ISO for shooting at noon and WAYYYY to slow of a shutter speed, again for shooting at noon unless you were going for something artistic, which in that case, you almost nailed it...
Although, your edit is kinda cool...almost a colored pencil look to it.

Yeah, I think the last time we were using manual mode was probably inside a cathedral when we were on vaca (they usually don't allow flashes), and the settings hadn't been changed.
Pixels screaming in agony from all the light, lol. Photoshop elements seems pretty cool. The pencil sketch feature is rockin'.
