In my aspirations to make portrait photography my main goal and since my New Years Eve plans fell apart, I did a small set for a family friends kids yesterday afternoon.
I LOVE shooting kids...their such a pain in the butt to work with as they fidget around, cant hold still for more than a few seconds and will never smile when you want them too...but thats part of what makes it great because they dont hold a position like a robot and no two photos are anywhere near alike...some just come out terrible but some come out GREAT! Ive got about a billion more to process but heres a quick few so far...
I think this is my favorite of the bunch...she is only 5 years old but has the attitude of of a 15 year old! The background(an off white stucco wall), i think give an interesting texture to it instead of the plain smooth ones normally seen and along with dramatic lighting, i think it gives a nice feel to it.
