    Kids cameras

    So our 4 year old has developed a fascination with my cell phone camera and ive on more than one occasion found my phone in odd places, chocked full of photos that were clearly taken by a 4 year old... lol

    Anywho, i thought a good christmas present might be one of those "kid proof" camera. Not really looking to spend a fortune on a nice one just yet as all things toys, they get hammered quick. Does anyone have one, used one, or can you recommend one? Ive seen a few different ones in the store but havent found one yet that i could try out to see if its worth it...

    I found a camera on the slopes at Breck a few years ago. Fuji or Olympus or something, 3 or 4 mp. It works fine for my 4yo.

    My wife picked up a couple of decent HP cameras on clearance at Target, both were right after Christmas. Under $50 each time.

    Which was kind of what i was curious about...i WILL NOT buy a regular old digital for him...it wouldnt last an hour in his hands. Ive seen a few of these "kid tough" cameras out there but was wondering if they were worth a damn...

    The Olympus P&S cameras are shock proof, waterproof, etc, and if they take something worth keeping - it will be worth keeping.

    All the kids cameras I've seen are like 1MP.

    It wouldn't be the worst thing for a kid to learn to take care of nice things.

    I have an Olympus for work, it is pretty durable. I have dropped it from a 6 foot ladder and routinely take it through the decontamination unit (shower).

    The Fisher Price digital is pretty cool. He's 4 so your not looking for premium IQ and I think the thing is like $40 or so.

    Bingo...if it gets him more interested in it, ill progressively buy nicer gear for him. No sense in spending 200+ on a nice one if it gets tossed and forgotten about in a week.

    And someone please show me a 4 year old boy who "takes care of nice things..."

    Ill take a look at that one.

    Went with the vtech one...it was the highest reviewed kids oriented one.

    Its actually, not a half bad camera! Id say, its better than most cell phones, picture quality wise that ive seen...super easy to use to! Wish i had one of these when i was a kid!

    I was looking online and saw vtech makes a couple different ones. I'm assuming you got the 2.0 MP one?
