View Full Version : CO Wins WE-Rock Pro Mod

July 3rd, 2007, 09:58 AM
We just got back from WE-Rock Donner with our good buddy Jocko who was out there shooting some pictures for Pirate. It was a killer event and we fought off 24 teams to WIN the event!!! It came down to the final course and felt AWESOME to take the win. It also gave us the WE-Rock Series win! Between this and XRRA, CO was represented well this weekend.

Better yet - This means we go to Australia to represent the US in the World Finals this January! I will have a story and pictures up later today on http://www.lovellrockracing.com/

Even better than that - We are going to have a victory party on July 14th at 4pm. I'll get some info out in the Staging Area.

I was so focused on our effort that I did not get to see many others run. I do know that Scott Elligner was out there and drove off a 15 foot undercut cliff. Jason Berger (from CA, set to race in Cortez) basically totaled a rig on his first run. Best rockcrawl in 2 years, but I might be biased. I'm sure old Jocko will post up some pictures.

Congrats on the win guys, that's awesome! I saw you guys but didn't make it over to say hi. Did meet Jocko finally. I have some pics from Donner that I'll post here tonight. It was a great comp at a really cool location (both literally and figuratively considering the difference in weather between here and there.)

But damn, that drive across Nevada sucks. :barf:

Congratulations on what had to be a hard-earned win; that's gotta be a record turnout, of nearly all the top names in ProMod. :)

Awesome job over the weekend Brad & Roger! Lil Rich wasn't easy on his course design and you guys made it look like a walk in the park on some of the courses. And congrats on the OZ invite for Worlds!!!

Congrats on the event and series win! You both certainly deserve it. Not bad finishing the season with a top 3 finish in all of the events.

Well at least after mid-dayish Saturday I know he does :D. Managed to get thrown out of a rhino and was scabbed up pretty good afterwards (looks like he went down on a crotch rocket.) Then again I was the one who was rather :drunk: and decided a hike to the top of Donner, which turned into a day trip and had quite a few people worried :headbang: But everyone who was staying in the condo was pretty :drunk: most every night, cept lil rich since he had ALOT to do. Fun times to say the least.

Yeah, I saw the road rash from the mule flop. He stopped by the truck Sunday morning and told us how hung over he was, so I handed him a beer for breakfast. :D

Here are some of the pics I took. I bring teh suck at pics compared to Jocko.

Some of the Donner scenery:

There was a lot more awesome scenery but my little digicam doesn't have enough zoom power to do it justice. ;)

Val & Chad flashing white chick gang signs: :silly:

Val's butt.

Jocko doing what he does best:

Our own Scott, with Shawn telling him 'there's a cone here, don't hit it.'

A few more; this is one of the bonus lines on one course. It's even steeper than it looks.

Some made it up...

And some didn't.

A couple of the more interesting places Scott managed to get the Rockstomper rig.

The trip home. Val doesn't allow her pic to be taken without white chick gang signs, this one courtesy of Camp. :D

Congrats... I need to come see you guys crawl again, with that said you may not want me there since the only other crawl event I've been to and saw you guys was super crawl, maybe I should just stick to going to the races ;)

Yeah we started about 5 minutes after arrival thursday evening, and didn't quit until mid-early saturday :D :drunk:. Bastid kept peeling his scabs on the way home :puke: from the rhino roll. Travis and I sat in Dave Wong's buggy for the most part on saturday since it was way to much effort to run around the courses :roflmao: When Scott went over on B4? (one right next to and down the hill from B3), we jumped in to right side him..scared the crap outta us as i thought Scott was going to just keep rolling down the hill (to end up imitating the Trent Fab buggy roll ) Thankfully the suspension didn't rebound too much and stayed on all fours instead of keeping on going, and going...close call though. Donner is the type of place where one roll can easily turn into mulitple ones. B3's bonus line was awesome to watch...both when they did...and didn't make it up.

Thanks Ashley. You didn't do so shabby either, you'd put old Mike Shaffer to shame!
