Cool! I found it interesting they quoted some chick from SUWA. I don't know who's more extremist, SUWA or Sierra Club graemlins/flipoff.gif

Score one for the GOOD guys. It did take a while to rool back regulations that Clinton signed at the end of his reign. It seems some people are unwilling to reach a comprimise, in Summit County the guy wanting to start a sightseeing buisness (by helicopter) pulled out due to the public outcry. There main concern was "we come to the mountains to get away from such noises and feel it is a violation of our right to a peaceful place to relax. While there would be noise why do certain individuals feel that there rights are more important than the rights of others. This action by Bush has leveled the field between off road rereationalists and enviroMENTALists.

What I'm most interested in seeing from this is exactly how much this will truely change things. The actual outcome of this rule change is probably going to be a compromise of some kind for everyone.

It's a start...

I attend quite a few BLM land use meetings and the thing that amazes me the most is the ignorance of people who just believe what they're told. I saw an entire debate on the salinity factor problems due to erosion go on and on with scientific proof. The funny part was when I asked how long the study had been going on it was stated that it had been studied over the last two years. My answer...Nice job guys, did you consider that we are in our 5th year of a major drout? graemlins/bounce3.gif graemlins/bounce4.gif
