We've got a problem. The Little Bookcliffs, just outside Palisade, CO, is becoming another Carnage Canyon. I used to wheel this trail, frequently. There was never a major problem with trash. ChozenRoze and I went up there, this past weekend. There were shotgun shells and clay pigeons, everywhere! I also learned that several wild Mustangs have been shot, recently! As if the trash weren't bad enough, these MORONS are shooting the horses!
We are lucky to be able to wheel this area, AT ALL. This problem needs to be nipped immediately. If anyone, on the Western Slope knows how we can help put a stop to this, please speak up! If anyone on this board is a member of the GMJC, please bring this up at a meeting. I'm sure the Friends of the Mustangs would be very happy to work with local wheelers, to protect the area, for public use. We are in that area, frequently, and are more than happy to participate in any efforts.

Little BookCliffs? Are you talking about going up through the Coal Power Station just east of Palisade?

That's the place. At the Cameo exit that runs through the Public Service power plant. It is a multiple use area that we can very easily lose. The BLM wil undoubtedly put the welfare of the Mustangs ahead of the interests of the people who use the land. I don't blame them. I would too. Let's start working on this problem, before it gets any worse.

Not sure what can be really done but we could host a trail clean up ! An advertise ALOT! I am sure that would help knowing that REAL 4wheelers are willing to take the time to clean up after posers that mess up . Even willing to sponsor the trail like alot of trails are already sponsoured! I would be willing .. What do you guys think? We should have a meet and great and suggest this at that time as well! I KNOW OF ABOUT 5 RIGS INTERESTED IN DOING THIS!
