There is a project with Colorado Cares, coordinated by Colorado State Parks, that involves fire restoration at the Hayman Fire Site. They are looking for volunteers to assist nature's process of healing by stabilizing erosion, re-seeding the area and helping the forest regenerate.
When: Saturday, August 3rd
8 a.m. - 9 a.m. Registration is at the Manitou Lake Picnic Area
9 a.m. - noon Volunteer restoration work at site
Noon to 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided
Spouses, significant others and children (10 years or older) are welcome to join us. Volunteer work will range from light to moderate activity.
