got a question

looking at a 1999 ford contour svt for sale. the owner wants 3500 and says it won't pass emissions because the co2 levels are too high. i am wondering what could cause this, i was thinking o2 sensors but i haven't got a clue, any ideas?

O2 sensors and Cat are the 2 major causes of this that I know of, but im sure there are other things that will cause it as well

yeah i called the guy he said its the o2 sensors, and yes that is white knuckle hill, i know, its pretty bad ass....:flipoff2:

Colorado laws states that the selling party has to provide a passing emissions test with the sale or note on the bill of sale that it will not pass. Keep that in mind if you do buy it.
