No, I did not. Usually extra spots are reserved for sponsors, awards or contests. I did promise the kids we would go up in one when they are big enough to see over the basket. :D

I saw them as I was driving 470 Sunday morning up to Rollins pass area.

Very cool, there was one that had almost landed on the highway. Looked like they hit the offramp and the basket slid down the hill a little bit.

Anyone who's really interested in balloons absolutely needs to go to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. (http://www.balloonfiesta.com/) It's the largest gathering of hot air balloons in the world. It's always the first full week of October. It's amazing to see almost 1000 balloons launched in an hour or so, with all of them in the air at the same time.

Dunno yet if we'll be going again this year...

I see the sponsor is now Wells Fargo. Wasn't the p[resenting sponsor Kodak for a long time?

Yep, in fact for many years it was officially the "Kodak Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta." Obviously Wells Fargo offered more $$$, not that the organization that puts it on needs more $$$ with what it's turned into.

There were quite a few people there with various logos of the Albuquerque Festival. I'd love to be able to travel around participating in ballon festivals.
