Predictions? Thoughts?

Anyone else going to watch the pit-crew challenge?

Jeff Burton wins the race, his crew wins the challenge and his lawyers won the stay against Nascar to get the At&T logo on the car. Gonna be funny to hear him introduced as the At&t driver, France is gonna LOVE that!

Heh, well it wasn't Burton but the pit crew challenge was won by another cell company. Alltel team won...heh.

I did some reading on the AT&T issue, did not know what was going on. But after reading up, it just reinforced some of the reasons why I don't follow NASCAR anymore.

One complaint that NASCAR had on this was it would confuse the audience. As if many many things that NASCAR themselves have done did not confuse me. NASCAR has changed everything so much; I don't have a clue anymore. Talk about confused. But I DO and would know about a sponsor name change from Cingular to AT&T is the same company.

NASCAR doing an exclusive contract with Sprint stating that no NEW communications company may sponsor a car during the 10 year contract, just is wrong. By all rights then in that statement is false and NEXTEL should not be in there either. The NEXTEL contract with NASCAR began in 2004. Sprint bought out NEXTEL in 2005.

They wonder why they have a bigger audience of people over 65 than they do people under 18. Guess younger people are smarter than I give them credit for. Cool then, if they can't get younger people to become fans, they will be dead then in 10 or so more years. YEA.

That was great watching them take each other out. KYle doesn't make me enar as nervous as JP Montoya. That dude is a hazard. I bet Jr. looked at Harvick and was thinking to himself "boy that looks fun". Makes ya' wonder.

1st and 4th for RCR. Not too shabby. The 600 should be interesting with Hendrick and RCR battling it out :)

Meh. A race with no points and scheduled cautions every 20 laps? I didn't even bother watching and I'm a NASCAR fan.

It was pretty good. Not great but good. The end of the segmants were pretty entertaining with 3 cars in each segment in a back and forth shoot out. But then again any nascar is better then no nascar.

Super weak. We interrupt this racing season to bring you a "non-event". No points and scheduled cautions. More like a car show. The million bucks was good, tho. I still think Harvick is a d**k, and his wife makes me want to puke.

As for the sponsorship thing- I highly doubt NASCAR is behind it- you know the boys over at Sprint/Nextel are the ones squeezing France's balls. If you lay out that kind of dough for sponsorship, last thing you want to see is a competitor getting press in your series. It's just business, that's all.

On to the 600. One of my favorite races. Time for the 24 car to get back out front............

Oh, Montoya is a friggin hazard. I forgot to add that in there.....

Next week: GP of Monaco, Indy 500, and the 600. Start your engines.

Monoya who? Actually it shows how hard NASCAR is. He was supposed to be the shizzznit. As far as the the "race" yawn.

Yup. Really looking forward to the 600. Have to watch it from a hotel though. Noticed Jr really chatting it up with Marlin from Ginn Racing. Bobby Ginn is pressing hard for Jr.
